I saw this movie of his called "The Appaloosa" and I liked it a lot. What I've seen of his other movies I really liked too.
Anybody else a fan of this late actor here too?

Have you seen "The Score"?
You might like that one. It also had DeNiro and Edward uh....what's his face.

For a long time, the only movie I ever saw him in was The Godfather. Then, a couple of weeks ago I saw Sayonara and A Streetcar Named Desire
The latter is just incredible. Both him and Vivien Leigh are fantastic. Sayonara is decent. kujo recommended On The Waterfront as his best. But everytime I try to rent it, it's taken

One of my favorite actors.
They don't make actors like Brando, Grant, Cooper, Stewart, anymore. I think George Clooney is great though.
Anyway, loved him in "Superman" and of course, "The Godfather."
Really looking forward to seeing him in the upcomming "Superman" film.

Big mouth as usual.
Yeah, he's in it. They are using unused footage shot from "Superman" and "Superman II." The first two movies were shot at the same time. Brando wanted more money than the studio was willing to shell out so he wasn't in part II. One of the big holes in "Superman II" is how Superman gets his power back. In the film it was originally explained that Superman goes back to the fortress of solicitude and meets Jerole (Brando) who tells him he can regain his power, but wont be able to talk to him again as regaining power will drain the energy from the crystals, or something like that. But since Brando's scene was cut, that part isn't explained, hence the hole in the plot.

Absolutely brilliant actor. I just saw a news article on him the other day, something to do with 'Rebel Without A Cause' this article I think was saying Brando orignally auditioned for the part that James Dean came to play.
Anyway, I'm not sure if that was true, but Marlon Brando is a fantastic actor, just saw 'Last Tango In Paris' which was a very puzzling film.

Jor-El, sorry, had to correct it.
I'm also waiting for the new Superman film, Bryan Singer is a great director and I'm glad that he is the one making it, as it wont be a remake.
btw. there's a "directors cut" of Superman II in the making, can't wait to see how Donner originally visioned the movie, sad thing is that supposedly some of the material they shot has gotten destroyed

He was great in Last Tango in Paris. One of his best was One Eye'd Jacks. One of the best westerns I've ever seen.

Absolutely my all-time favorite actor. The man was a mental case but thats where his genius came from as an actor. He definitely became the definition of eccentric in his later years, and some of the chaos he would cause on set led to him just not getting many roles later in life. He did have a slight resurgence with "The Score" but it didnt lead to too much before his death. When actors like Robert DeNiro, Al Pacino, and Robert Duval claim that he was their biggest influence to start acting, thats saying quite a bit.
On The Waterfront - One of the most famous scenes in movie history (I coulda' been a contender), and it was completely ad-libbed.
A Streetcar Named Desire - Nobody should ever be allowed to play Stanley Kowalski ever again
The Godfather - He never bothered learning his lines, he had cue cards hidden of camera or stapled to the suits of actors where the camera wouldn't see it.
Apocolypse Now - Some say he destroyed this movie during production, but on screen he was dynamic. "The horror...... the horror"
The Missouri Breaks - Not the greatest movie but worth watching because of the pairing of Brando and Jack Nicholson.
The Score - Brando, DeNiro and Norton. Great casting. Great movie.

Marlon Brando is and will be (even though he is already passed away) the greatest actor of all times. Influencing all kinda actors and people in general even nowadays but also being an extremely different caring human being for the way he supported people. (Wanna know how, read more about him)
In 200 years the only writers that will be world wide rememberd will be Goethe and Shakespeare and the only actor ... Brando.

Agreed. I dont like using the label of "Best" as opposed to "Favorite" but he might be the exception to that rule.

Although he isn't really the star of the movie, my favorite movie that Marlon Brando acts in is Apocalypse Now. What a great movie!

Brando became Coppolas' worst nightmare during the filming of that movie. The ending had to be completely rewritten before Brando would film a scene. Im drawing a blank on the name of the movie, but there was a western that he did with Nicholson that Brando hijacked also.
