But we have a pool in my board and the member Locomotive YEAH! made this intro with My World and Chinese Democracy (trust me, sounds REALLY cool):

WTTJ is "the perfect opening song" , and PC is perfect for closing a set, sometimes I think they almost wrote those songs for that purpose..     , but to renew themselves a bit I hope they try something different this time..

nah but in all seriousness I would personally love Its So Easy or Mr. Brownstone.  But I in the end I really do think they should open with WTTJ since its a song that everybody recognizes.

Better is a good choice and this way people could decide if it will become a instant classic but im seeing TWAt... its heavy enough and i like the lyrics but thats my opinion .... i would still like to see the old stuff

NO, GNR should never open with JUNGLE,
it was originally written at a slower speed (watch a 1986 live show)
the song's tempo was speeded up when recorded for the APPETITE record
it is now a lil too fast for AXL to sing strongly
and although on record it is an amazing song
I have always felt live the song is a struggle for AXL vocally
not a very good way to start a show
always liked ITS SO EASY as the opener

I agree that it is a very tough song to sing vocally... however it is one of the most recognizable and get's the crowd going fucking nuts early. That's good to do on festivals.

I dont think they should always open with Jungle, as said, its opening is perfect for opening festivals and its one of their most well known, once they have their foot in the door so to speak, and are becoming a separate entity, they can choose a few tracks which can all become staple openers like they used to do.

I mean I would prefer they opened with the track from Chinese Democracy that has the longest instrumental intro.. something with a good drum beat for a bit, or something with a build up in the beginning, I would love that. However, at the festival 80% of the crowd will most likely just be casual music fans and may not have came their soley for Gnr... so opening with WTTJ would be a quick attention grabber.
