Alright....here's my take. I'm learning this for my band to cover so I need to make sure it's as correct as possible. I think everything is 100 right except the last verse after the last solo and before the outro chorus. Can someone look over this and gimme thoughts?

The reason for my post was that I am thinking I had it wrong and was looking for suggestions that might help, not just confrimation that I was wrong on parts of it. Did you have any suggestions?

yes just use the lyrics I gave  you they are pretty much 99% correct.
I even have it broken up how it should be sung so its easier not to miss lines in the song.

I don't know why but I can't seem to hear challenge instead of charge. I totally understand that charge doesn't make sense and probably isn't right, but I just can't hear him saying something else there.

I wasn't as interested in this song's lyrics as the other ones when the leaks first came out, but I have to admit these are great lyrics, especially for a poppy song and potential single.

Just gave it a close listen and I think Dave's pretty much nailed it.

For the first time, I can now clearly hear "challenge" in that spot.

I think charge makes sense to me. " break the charge that brought me harm"

speaking of the sense, if someone says something about you true or false, they are charging you with a behavior or an action. thus if someone says something false about you and you spend all your time trying to disprove them, you would be trying to 'break the charge that brought you harm'... makes sense to me.... although charms makes sense too... I guess we'll have to wait until the lyric sheet comes out to know for sure... until then sing whatever you want
