Day in Rock reports: Live Nation/Clear Channel reports that Guns N' Roses will release the long awaited Chinese Democracy album next month. The report however does not specify where this information came from. This news comes after weeks of speculation about the imminent release of the album after several tracks leaked and Axl Rose playing the CD for several people. However, nothing official has been announced as of yet but the band are set to play several festivals in Europe this summer. antiMusic's dolemint offered up a review of the leaked tracks a couple weeks ago. Last time they 'planned' (I use that term VERY loosely) a European Tour to this extent (not the 2002 tour) was when the album was supposedly done (according to Doug Goldstein) but they were going to tour before it was released... If the albums coming out then I think Axl would be doing more than going to Soprano's premieres for attention, there'd be a big scoop interview, all that sort of thing... we will know the release date at least a couple of months before it comes out id think. It wont be till July at the earliest, and considering the years of disappointment, thats still very much a long shot.

Didn't Axl make some comments recently indicating this summer? According to the RS reporter, Axl said the album wasn't finished. Merck confirmed that. I think these reports of an early release, March, April are overrated. I expect something June or later.

Is CC friendly with gnr now? That Sanctuary said "interesting" instead of flatly denying is interesting. I wonder who told this to CC. Kid Rock?  they've got us waiting on a release date for a release date! I'm not waiting till I hear an announcement. |

april??? maybe a single but CD ? seems unlikely but not impossible...... As far as it goes for the promotional aspect: I think CD is promoting itself (kind of  ) Therfor we might experience a little surprise when it is coming down to the release of this Fucker........  |
