Reinaldo- brilliant choices for Duff and Richard especially! Brody could play the dual role of Izzy and Richard. 
How about a clueless Gary Busey as an equally clueless Steven Adler.  Better yet, Adler can play himself... he's so strung out that he'd probably think GNR let him back in.
Eric Stoltz might not be bad as a young skinny Axl.

Axl: The first person can play him for me is Johnny Deep cos I saw him in Tom Petty clip years ago. From what I saw He can play Axl best. And he is a total rocker too. He is almost as charismatic as Axl. Also Brad Pitt with long hair and a beard.

Izzy: Sean Penn could be Izzy with a gnr style costume and behaivour.

Duff: Brendan Fraser would be cool
