De Niro as Duff. He put on like 50 pounds to play the older Jake La Motta, so i'm sure he wouldn't mind putting on 70 or 80 to play mid-nineties Duff.

Don't you think he's little bit old for playing duff. the guy is in his 60 (if I remember right)

Hugh Grant to play Slash - dunno why i just thing it would be funny.

goddamn..are you insane. hugh to play Slash.. rofl

Both of them were jokes. The first was making light of duff in his chunkier days, and the second just cos i got a great mental image of hugh grant dressed like slash, pissed off his face, fag in mouth and him still stammering away like the english prat he is.

I hate explaining my jokes.

Who knows, maybe it could happen, apparently there's a play on Broadway based on Billy Bailey's life, and they are from LA-LA land....so, here goes...

Axl: DiCaprio or Matt Damon- Both sort of resemble him. espc. Damon, both can play bitchy pri-madonna's as demonstrated in past roles. Mark Wahlberg also not a bad idea but not quite as effeminate as DiCaprio, and doesn't look as much like Axl as Damon.

Slash: Adam Sandler or Lenny Kravitz (Does Kravitz act?)- Sandler because I think he'd be good @ playing a stoner and could probably pull off the look (ie: curly hair, big shnauz) , Kravitz 'cause he looks kinda like Slash. Or if they don't work out how 'bout Ben Affleck if you got Damon to play Axl, that way the whole Axl/Slash buddy chemistry is there in the publics mind w/out any need to have decent acting. Samuel L. Jackson might work as well, just 'cause he's cool as hell.

Izzy: Either Edward Norton or Johnny Depp- Both do brooding well, both have dark hair/ features.

Duff: Maybe Brad Pitt, he's kinda dumb and Duff seems kinda dumb too, it could work. Allready this would be over budget for casting, though, 'cause we've got too many A list people.

Buckethead: That guy who plays 'Jason' in all the Friday the Thirteenth movies, it'd be good if we never saw him out of costume, and he hardly ever spoke, which would make the character more interesting.

Dizzy: Jack Black. No explanation necessary.

Paul Tobias: Either Yoko Ono or Courtney Love.

Robin Finck: David Arquette. He's wierd, so's Finck.

Tommy Stinson: That guy who played Stifler in the American Pie movies, just because.

Drummers: who cares really, just get someone that resembles them.

The Everly Girl (Sweet Child): Jennifer Love Hewwit

Stephanie Seymour: Could play herself or get some other stupid supermodel to do it.

Perla (Slash's wife?): J Lo or some porn-star with big tits.

Christopher Walken: I like the idea of him in the movie, maybe he could play Axl's hypnotherapist, that would be funny to watch...or he could just play himself.

Yoda (that woman in the desert who's Axl's spiritual adviser): They could get the midget from the Poltergeist movies, she would be perfect!

Man this would make a great movie, I can even see how the screen play would go... Young hick gets picked on a lot... moves to LA- meets up w/ old friend from Indiana, gets involved with lots of drugs, gets involved with famous musician's daughter, meets great Stoner guitarist, becomes biggest band of all time, accused of racism, breaks up w/ musicians daughter to date supermodel, gets dumped by supermodel, starts to go nuts, ruins the band... goes crazy and becomes recluse like Brian Wilson, after failed come back w/ a bunch of wierdos. Ends with him sitting in studio all by his lonesome forever attempting to finish his opus.

This movie could be huge because the story is so interesting (just note how many people are still fascinated by this band despite the fact that they haven't put out a real studio album in over ten years) especially if you could get the casting right.

Somebody needs to pitch this story to the guy who directed 'Singles' and 'Almost Famous'...you know the guy that's married to that woman from 'Heart'. smoking

That would make one awesome movie. And I am not kidding at all. I would watch the living hell out of it. The problem is, when/if CD is released the awesome ending is ruined.

I have all confidence it will be released, hell I'm pretty confident in May. And that would really screw up the movie.

I'll be happy, though - when it is out that is. CD is probably the album I am looking forward to the most.

We missed out on the best possible actor to play the part of Slash...Hank the Angry Drunken Dwarf of Howard Stern fame. (may Hank rest in peace)

I think Ewan Mcgregor should play Axl. He's already proved he can sing, he's also red haired, light blue eyes, mid size...

Let Slash be Benicio del Toro. I don't know why, but he'd kick the shit out of that guitar.

Duff ( Current Duff)Willem Dafoe, old School duff ( Illusion era) Kurt Russell

Izzy...Johnny Deep.

Steven...Stifler

Director: Tim Burton

I recently heard that a movie will be made following the life of Ozzy Osbourne, with Jhonny Depp playing the Ozzman.

If a movie would be made following the early years of Guns N' Roses, who to you think the actors should be? Who would play Axl,Slash,Izzy,Duff or Matt???

Shean William Scott (Stiffler from American Pie) would make a pretty good Axl

Whoever would play them would have to take a hell of a lot of drugs before being able to look like any of them.

I'd say do it like Tarantino did Kill Bill - in 2 volumes. Volume 1 - Old GN'R story, volume 2 - New G&R story. *with sarcasm* I guess the 2nd part we'll be out sooner than the actual album   hihi hihi, so the editors will have to work hard to work out a plot....but I promise there will be a happy ending

the cast:

Axl Rose - Brad Pitt (comparing with Kevin Beacon, which has more visual resemblance with Axl than Brad (IMHO), Pitt can play that "mean machine" looks of Axl's)
Duff McKagan - Keanu Reeves
Izzy Stradlin - Richard Fortus
Richard Fortus - Izzy Stradlin
Slash - no final candidate yet, but several in talks  Grin  Grin
Robin Finck - Colin Farell
Dizzy Reed - Matt Damon
Matt Sorum - Christian Bale
Tommy Stinson - Johnny Depp
B-Head - no candidate confirmed yet, but the rumors are the notorious guitar wonder role will be given to one of the premiere NBA stars   Grin Grin
Brain - Don "Dragon" Wilson
Steven Adler - James Hetfield
Chris Pittman - Joaquin Phoenix

In the end , as I predict  hihi  hihi the Movie will win 12 Oscars  rofl  rofl
