I used to love Mountain Dew when I was a kid, one day I was travelling with my parents when I was 10 in the car and it made me really sick.. even though it probably wasn't the drink.. I can just never bring myself to drink it again.. ever!

I like Pepsi and Pepsi products better with the exception of one; I love Vanilla Coke.  Meanwhile, Coke is better for mixing with whiskey, while Pepsi is better for mixing with rum.  That's just how it goes!

you're right about the coke tasting different in different countries.? I went to the coke plant in Atlanta and there were like 50 different flavors all labeled by country.? Some were awful - I especially remember the one for Italy being the worse.

I beg to differ.  Pepsi might not be "disgusting", but it tastes different enough for you to notice....and I can see someone disliking it if they have a hard preference for Coke.

You put them both in a cup, blind, and I can tell the difference...very easily.

Pepsi just tastes too sweet, I prefer Coke.
When I was in Saudi Arabia, if you would buy a bottle of Coke downtown in Bahrain, it definitely tasted different, almost as if it was watered down quite a bit.

A cold glass of Coke is an absolute must with a good pizza.

Actually if I could find it I would choose Jolt over either of these two.

As I said, I believe some people can tell a difference.  But I don't believe that if you like Pepsi, you could find Coke so disgusting as to refuse to drink it.  So if you order Pepsi in a restaurant and the waitress says "Coke ok?", if you say no, I say you are being pretentious.  Now let me add that I didn't know that either tastes different in other countries, so that I can't speak to.

As far as a blind taste test, I've known people who claim the same thing.  So we tested them, and when it was just pepsi and coke, several of them could  tell the difference.  But when we threw a third choice in, I think it was RC, no one could figure them out.  So again, I say, no cola flavored drink is all that different from the other.

Pepsi is much sweeter tasting - Coke has a much more defined "cola" taste to it.  I can drink pepsi, but I will go out of my way to have Coke.  If I know a restaurant or fast food place serves pepsi, I try to find another place that has coke.  Diet pepsi is just piss in a can its really gross.

Coke in Germany nasted really odd though - it was so sweet and "filmy" that I could feel it on my teeth hours after I drank it...same in the Czech republic.  Thai coke is pure sugar haha.  It was normal in NZ and Australia though.

So, I'm a diabetic so I drink diet pop. But, if I had a choice to choose between Coke and Pepsi I would choose regular pepsi because I think Coke and Diet coke are just nasty especially diet coke.

So, I was wondering if people prefer coke or pepsi more.
