Do you thinks its possible? - The last main stage stage act hasn't been announced and it looks like it won't be Metallica - Any ideas if it will be Axl and co. or who else would it be?

Discuss ok

So, is there any tread left on the tires? Or at this point would it be like throwing a hot dog down a hallway?

maiden is HUGE in the U.S.? back in the 80's all you saw were maiden t-shirts and patches everywhere. they were selling out stadiums and helped launch several metal bands. all with very little play on radio.

my guess is that gnr will not be involved with ozzfest.

still, it IS interesting that gnr's schedule coincides with the ozzfest dates. and the fact that they are announcing an additional mainstage band just a couple days before gnr's first show is interesting as well.

Maiden was huge in the US Back in the 80's....not very much now though. I do still love them and hope they come back on  tour with out Ozzfest. It's too bad sharon had to mess it up for them.
I'd love to see guns at ozzfest ...but the more I think about it...I just wanna see them...I don't care if it's at ozzfest or not.

Sevenfold said they were gonna way to see who they would be playing with before they decide and I doubt that they were like "System Of A Down!, Disturbed! Awesome! Let's do it!" Also there is a much better chance of Metallica doing it the GNR but GNR would be cool.

Don't you think that you need somebody?

« Reply #273 on: March 22, 2006, 11:25:22 PM »

If Sharon Osbourne announces the long secret "major mainstage band" and its Avenged Sevenfold, that would be pretty weak. ?Avenged Sevenfold is worth keeping as the "secret weapon"? ?I hope not! ?If Ozzy's only at ten shows and SOAD and Disturbed are the biggest bands there, then Ozzfest isn't going to make much money this summer.

dude, sorry but A7X isn't a Major headlining act. Sharon and Ozzy know they have to get someone huge to fill the spot. i'm tellin' ya, it's Metallica.

Thats who the strong rumor is at the moment. They have been silent about it and so has Sharron so it could happen. They are a very popular band at the moment and getting bigger.

Maybe Godsmack.. but not GnR.. Never.
