I think the order of the shows is kinda strange.

They start in Souther Europe: Portugal, one day later play in Spain - it's okay and logical.

Then 3 days later they come to Hungary. (Central Europe)

Then 2 days and they go back to Western Europe: Germany

2 days later play a show in Italy, Souther Europe

They have 5 days to go to Ireland and then England - it's okay

2 days and they play in the Czech Republic (Central Europe)

2 days and they play Northern to CR: Poland

2 days and play quite Southern from CR: Austria (Austria neighbour to Hungary, where they played 17 days ago)

3 days later it's Western Europe again: France. The venue is closer to Spain or the UK than Austria

The rest seems to be OK.

They'll surely have 2 crowds, but the order of the shows seems to be quite illogical. Did they think about the location of the venues or just booked the shows?   Huh

Take in mind that Germany isn't as west as say like France. It's right next door to Poland.

Yes, I wondered about that too. Maybe it has something to do with the dates of the festivals (can't postphone those because of one band) or with other bands already being booked to play at a certain venue at a certain date.

I see what your saying, but you can fly from 1 side of europe to the other in under 5 hours so it's not such a big deal for the locations to be all over the place. Perhaps the festival dates were the priority shows and they booked everywhere else afterwards and this was the only order that could suit both the band and the venues? Like I siad though it's not really like they'll suffer from jetlag flying across europe so they maybe don't mind too much.

The musicians (and maybe the roads) will travel by airplanes. But the amps etc. should be there, too, and there is no way in hell that they'll be there by air travel.

Sure they can. All they gotta do is get a cargo plane like they did back during the Illusion tour.

That's a question for the real cracks among us, how do GN'R travel? By bird offcourse, but what kind of a plane? How does the equipment get pushed around, anyone?

For the '02 tour, I remember them saying they had 2 set-ups.
So the stuff was there already, and the other stuff was on its way to the show after the next.

That makes sense here, too and would solve any weather/travel problems.

Well, believe me or not there's actually hidden riddle in the order of the shows.

If you draw the band's travel route to a map you can see it:

Too bad the answer a bit too easy:

TEDDY ZIGZAG IS BACK IN THE LINE-UP!!!!!

Order and Location of shows matters none, because Axl won't show up anyways

by this theory they can book with reckless abandon, why not two shows in two countries on the same night?

i think the tour route is based on a mathematical formula devised by Axl's secret pet monkey who has a degree in astro physics (and wrote most of CD).
