I doubt modern rock stations would play leaked GnR demos.

I would ask the question when the album or single drops.

Are any modern rock stations playin it?

I know BookerFloyd use to say that modern wouldnt touch GNR.

I just want to see if he was right.

I know KROQ didn't touch it, neither did KDGE in Dallas. ?Don't think The Point in St Louis or 99X
in Atlanta did either. ?

I'm not too worried about this. Merck knew about this for days, because it's been going on for days. How many times has IRS been played on the radio lately? 15, 20 times? more? They could've stopped it almost immediately, had they really wanted to.

I remember when they denied the first new years gig. Axl even denied it to Kurt Loader when everyone knew it was happening. I take everything they say with a grain of salt...

How stupid is Axl and his management?? they wait till a dj that actually likes and is defending the song to come on the air to finally pull the plug. This is an absolute joke. These people need some marketing lessons. There is nothing better than free press good or bad. Does Axl think that all bands get their demos played on the air every hour for a whole day ?? There is a huge buzz going on and he rejects it. I could understand if these were the digitally recorded final tracks on CD but they are not. I don't think there is a band today that wouldn't love to have their demos hyped and played every hour on a radio station across the country. Not just does Axl reject his fans but he also rejects gppd publicity. Pretty funny how the last call they took was of a guy saying " thank god they finally called and had this fuckin piece of shit song removed". Good job Axl you finally had a dj in your corner to set things straight and you fuck it up.

I can just  feel it......IRS is going to be the first single...and the real release is going to be MUCH bigger/badder then the demo we all have.

Everybody shoudl just really chill out about the C&D/Call from GNR Mgmt.  Look at it this way, if we did not hear anything about the 3 shows, I could see getting pissed, but there is official movement  - lets just take it all in and see what happens :-)

Good to hear illusionone.
My radio station has played it about 5/6 times now, all positive reactions.

Everyone I talk to likes it.
Even this random kid who listens to Emo told me he heard it on the radio and liked it ok

Here is one thing about TWAT. The callers are trashing it but the DJs keep saying they get massive call in and emails to play hte song.

KROQ in LA played IRS today! ?During the evening rush hour. ?The DJ claimed to be only the second one in the nation to play it.

He left it for the next DJ who said she wants to play it too and that she digs everything axl.

They explained it was found floating around the internet but not that it was a low quality demo. ? I hate that people are hearing low quality IRS instead of a finished version of TWAT or BETTER.

My guess is the Djs are selectively screening the callers they put on the air.
