Here is what I suspect.
What AXL said about the Slash thing MAYBE the truth.
There is no response from Slash, Instead we see response from Weiland.
I think Weiland was really fuck up to hear what Slash said about him.
That?s why he got so angry with AXL for revealing the info to the world.

Or maybe it's all a cover up and Slash is now back in GN'R

Maybe there actually is a MATURE ADULT in this situation. Slash doesn't want to open a can of worms. Doesn't want to start a war of words again. Sounds pretty logical to me.

WHERES SLASH'S RESPONSE TO THE RECENT AXL MALARKEY. ISN'T HE SUPPOSED TO BE WORKING ON ONE???

i has a feeling that Slash's response will be less spontaneous than Scott's and more like Duff's 'a nothing comment'

Damn that's hard on the eyes.
Don't be surprised if Slash doesn't respond. He might just stay out of it till the court date. I think he SHOULD say something, even if it's just to say "my lawyer told me not to say shit," but I wouldn't be shocked if he avoids the issue entirely.

Duff was the mature adult. His response was perfect.

How many fans would shit themselves hearing slash(unseen stepping up to the mic) yelling "hey fuckers" such as he did yelled it in the past

i read some place, Slash to release a statement within days. those days have now passed... ..? .? ?
'within days' is pretty ambigous language- i dont see how you can infer a timetable from it.
agreed , axl said we would have a release date within months .. back in 2004?!?
can't be axl has never lied before

Im reall y sorry but why would you make up such a story of your ex band mate (with all the massive significant history) coming round your house at 5.30am?! Although if it is true, he wouldnt be totally sober Im sure at 5.30am. Slash hastnt come out and said otherwise, which he should have straight away if it wasnt true to stop people creating storys. Funny how this is going on with the 'immenent' release of the two bands albums at roughly the same time, and the reports that VR are gonna break up. Although i also think Axl maybe using this whole story to create more interest towards his personal gains. Although If this is the case, he must be pretty confident that his album will be better (it will be im sure) and hes just messing with weiland because he knows he can win?! I dont know!

I really don't think a response from Slash is neccessary. I think Scott has said enough on the matter.

Slash is normally quite willing to get himself in the media up until now where hes remained very quiet. I really do think he met with axl not so long ago. I dont think its a case of him being two faced, just regret. As for Slash rejoining the band... no
As much as everyone wants to see it. No matter how good Axls new album is, it wont appeal to the masses with Slash out of the band. So maybe it is a cunning ploy by Axl to prise slash out
As for Duff and Slash being mature adults, I dont think so. I think there backs are up against the wall and they know it.

Ya know another thing i was thinking about... Axl has stayed away from Slash over all these years.
Then imagine Slash makes this visit... and offers to bury the hatchet... expressing that he isn't happy with where he is now and who he's with now and perhaps expresses a realization that he would have been better off /happier remaining with Axl/GN'R. Recall his recent comment:
"When I left I was pretty pissed off for having to leave in the first place. After a while all the boo-haha that was stirred and all the negative press, sort of went in his direction, so I'm just waiting for the record to come out, so I'm glad where it's got to the point that that's happening."
Sounds like regret to me.
So he visted Axl and made some gesture/attempt/motion to bury the hatchet.... but eventually, apparently did not go through with it.
Well the thing I was thinking was that this really had to be a mind fuck for Axl.
Once again after all the years of staying away from Slash to be sucked back into his apparent dysfunction... I'd imagine it was more than enough to cause Axl to break his relative silence. Its like shit man - he's moved on without Slash and need i remind you of how RS described Axl in the Januaey 2000 interview "Slash's name pops up repeatedly, invoked in a way that suggests a shellshock husband speaking of an ex-wife after a particularly horrific divorce. ''It was a divorce,'' Rose says with a sad stare." Axl was hurt when Slash abandoned GN'R. Even when it came to picking up tracks for the recent Live Era '87 - 93' retrospective, Rose and Slash - whom Rose describes as ''negatively seductive'' - communicated their song selections only through intermediaries. ''I never said that I was bitter,'' Rose explains, characteristically concerned with making fine distinctions. ''Hurt, yeah. Disappointed. I mean, with Slash, I remember crying about all kinds of things in my life, but I had never felt hot, burning tears...hot, burning tears of anger."
I imagine Axl saw the law$uit coming... but did not expect them to go to the extent they did claiming "malicious intent to defraud". He was hurt and angered again I'm sure. And then the additional claim which proclaimed Axl to have had an "apparent attack of ego and arrogance". And then to be approached with an olive branch after all these years only to once AGAIN somehow be betrayed. It sucks. I don't know what the fuck is up with Slash. He's got some 'splaining to do IMO.

Eva, reportedly Slash and duff have been attempted a reunion with GNR for quite long.

Aye. although I never thought of that till I read his comments on Izzy of 1993.
Scotts came across like a fake bad boy (a fraud), Duffs as noncommittal (spinless)
Then Slash should come as a double dealing, and make it perfect.

Very cool, I wish that all posts could be written like this, regardless of whose side people are taking...
Nice coheesive argument, very fluent...A+!
I'm neither pro-Axl nor pro-Slash (as I'm sure you're not), but after what has happened in the last few weeks, I can't help but feel that, for the first time since Slash left the band, you're right in saying that it really is
him
with the explaining to do.
I'm not calling him out, saying he's an arsehole. I just think that, at the moment, it's becoming clear that both sides were to blame for what went on; right now it's pretty difficult to jump to either of their defence.
Yet I don't mean that in a bad way. It's all bit this face right now
rather than how it's been in the past, with this face towards Axl
while Slash has been very much this
Hey. They're both arseholes in their own way. At least that means there's a possibility that they could eventually be on the same page again.

Eva, that is a great post. You are definitely one of the best posters here. BUT, your opinions of what happened are always from the positive perspective of Axl. Like he is always right and any negativity in his life has to be blamed on other people. In my opinion, that type of thinking clouds your judgement, and counterracts many of the points you try to make. Even though you speak(type) well, you dont like to seem to deal with "the big picture". I wish you would. If you would look at all sides in a realistic way, you would be unbeatable in a 'debate'.

Not responding could be construed as quiet admittance to what was said of him.? If he did not make those comments, he should say so, otherwise the only information about that particular meeting comes from Axl.? If, on the other hand, he did say those things... maybe I'd keep quiet too.? In my mind, staying silent seems to lend credence to Axl.
To tell the truth, I'm not sure who to believe over another or even whether it really makes a difference in the end, but that's just my two cents.
To believe that his silence implies his guilt is wrong. From what we can see, this hasn't even phased the VR camp so I assume Slash has told his bandmates it was just Axl talking...again...
