Im Right next door to hell...

« on: March 16, 2006, 07:39:09 PM »

i thought id start this topic on the austrailian band the living end.  Personally i love their stuff, although their latest album is a little dissapointing

info can be found here at www.thelivingend.com

apparently they are austrailias biggest band or something (of the now obviously ac/dc are bigger in history)
they first got found by greenday and have toured with both them blink 182 and offspring and numerous other bands they even toured with acdc i believe

anyway a lot of people havn't heard of them in the uk (not sure about the us) so post your views

Yep, kickass Aussie band. I haven't heard the new album, but their first album kicks ass (check out Prisoner Of Society) and they are great live.

To me they sound a bit like a rockabilly Green Day with some great guitar solos. beer

They are kick ass!

Their self titled album (with Save The Day, Second Solution etc) was really big when I was finishing High School.. it was a really cool fresh new sound. They actually sent their demo tape and a t-shirt to Green Day to try and get the support act for their tour.. and they got it!

My fave album to date is the follow up, Roll On.

Yeah I haven't heard the full thing, just what I've heard them play live I really liked. And I'm really into the 2 new singles 'Wake Up' and 'What's On Your Radio' I've just been told that this album is really good.

Fuck yeah, I think their debut came out in like 98 (?). I remember it was massive when I was in year 7 at school - one of the (few) great Aussie rock records.
