lets not be fooled axl is the boss, and as long as their is a boss in the band then this person decides
who stays and goes, unless there is some sort of mutiny (whcih we all know is impossible in this case).

in my eyes just because its gnr doesn't make it any different from any other band (i.e club band)
as soon as there is a boss and they stop functioning  as unit then they become hired hands.

its become clear inthe past 10 years that everyone is at axls beck and call......they all walk the tightrope to be honest i think axl is trying to build a band, but still be boss. that won't work, he is gnr. its not like tommy or robin will say "fuck you man, it should be this way....." because they would be fired. again axl is the boss.

so i don't mind tommy possibly treating his duties as a "job". it certainly seems that way to me.

either way i don't care i like axl anyway.

It is a job.  The bandmembers are under contract (remember the press release when Buckethead went AWOL).  Don't think for a second that any of Axl's bandmates are equity members (or partners) in the partnership that is Guns N' Roses.  They are salaried employees (but will certainly get a cut of the performance songwriting royalties on CD and maybe even a cut of the tour revenue).
