hi!

just wondering what reliable (insider-)infos or rumours about possible chinese democracy tracks are floating around the net; what songs was axl relating to when he spoke of "still holding back the big guns"; what are the songs which names we already know (seven, prostitute, closing in on you, general, thyme etc.) going to be like. what are the ballads, rockers, pop-tunes on cd? what songs are gonna be the "earthshattering" and "breathtaking" ones - the stuff we are really waiting for? in other words: have we already heard the big guns and singles (better, twat, citr)?

just tell what you know or heard... but please: don't be just wildley speculating or simply making things up...

what i know is:

"rhiad and..." known as a "tryout" for the last tour
"silkworms": same as the above (thanks god...)
"this i love": one of the heavies things axl ever wrote and very likely an epic one
"catcher in the rye": considered as one of axl`s most daring move
"chinese democracy": rs labeled this as "almost grungy" (which is quite true)
"twat", "madagascar" and "the blues": epic (power)-ballads (as we know from the leaks and the live versions)

So farit's just a "rumoured" song...though it most likely exists no one has heard it.

Prostitute was 'fire' and 'ice' with orchestration.

Fire and Ice is how someone described the song.

^^  yea but the problem is that no one knows anything about what tracks will be on the album.

you're better off googling for the 349827349872398573419572938457 silly websites that list the tracks.

sometimes i feel like i'm beatin' a dead horse...

i'm sure SOMEONE knows what tracks are gonna be on cd; the album has been in production for over eight years with a whole lot of people coming & going, hearing the music or working on it; moreover axl played songs from cd in several places... and as far as beating a dead horse goes... that might be the real reason for starting a thread like this... i also think that an overview of what we know about the rumoured songs (in the forum of a really good website) is better than to google "349827349872398573419572938457 silly websites", as you put it.

like i said, WE DON'T KNOW SHIT ABOUT THE ALBUM.  Edit: and if anyone in this forum knows anything the rest of us don't, thay sure as hell aren't gonna post it on this public forum

all we know is what axl said at the KORN party in jan.  working on 32 songs, 26 of which are almost done, and 13 on the cd (whatever that means)

I'm of the opinion that the only tracks that we can say exist with 100% confidence are the ones that have either been leaked or played live, and we all already know what they all sound like, I'm sure. ?The tracks that have surfaced since "The Spaghetti Incident?" that have existed without being on an official GNR release are:
1. Sympathy For the Devil
2. Oh My God!
3. Chinese Democracy
4. Madagascar
5. The Blues
6. Silkworms
7. Rihad and the Bedouins
8. IRS
9. TWAT (There Was a Time)
10. Better
11. Catcher in the Rye

These are the only ones that any of us have heard and can pass judgment on. ?That's not to say the others don't exist. ?Something else that has been bothering me is the fact that we're hearing about rumoured song titles. ?Some of the rumoured titles that we're hearing may have since been altered and some of the songs on the list may have originally had a different title. ?As was brought forward on the forum yesterday, November Rain started off as Sweet Lorraine, so any of the speculated song titles may not even exist anymore or have been given new titles.

I thought the biggest gun was supposed to be the new band's remake of Ac/Dc's "Big gun?"

But no one has any idea what is going to be on CD.  I wouls guess only a couple of the above tracks.  but that would be speculation on my part.....

That's what I'm thinking...  Wink

wasnt there an article or interview somewhere where they describe the new gnr tracks including The General and prostitute??..

People say those things but no one here has heard any of them, so it doesn't mean they'll be on a new CD.  I'm not saying that they don't exist, just bringing them up would be speculating their existence.
