Ah well, at least Bucket's new Double DVD set will keep me entertained...So long as they keep his parts on CD, I could care less who plays live.

Good guitar player.
But I bet he was one of the big reasons that Guns & Roses collapsed in 2002. And he?s to whacky.
I don?t give a shit!

I sense the irony. But yes, it might be one of the reasons.

No, I think they'll find a new guitarist. And, his name will be Pringles-Dick.

Thanks for the confirmation... that's what the guy who handles his soundboard told me in Nashville last week too (when Bucket played a gig there), as well as, the guy who handles all the Buckethead merchandise at the gigs too. He's on a ridiculously long tour that goes well into Spring as well... I think all signs pretty much point to BH being 100% out.

I fucking love Buckethead, but there must be some legitimate reasons why he isn't in the band anymore and it seems like the rest of the band (Dizzy, Tommy and I would assume Robin) are behind Axl with this one. Not sure where Brain fits in- but Bucket isn't using him on tour- so take that for what it is. As far as his material staying on the album? I think that's where the whole "Buckethead leaving will take the recording process to the next level" thing that Axl said comes into play... I think Axl took Buckethead's parts and challenged Robin and Richard to come up with something better... in places that they did... go with Robin and Richard... and if there's something incredibly mindblowing that no one can touch... keep it on... just like I would love to see Brian May's stuff stay on CITR. But the MAJORITY of Bucket's stuff should hopefully have been deleted and re-written/re-recorded by Robin and Richard IMHO.

oh yeah, I really hope that man, I really think the guitar duet Finck/Fortus is stronger than Buckethead. When I hear the Finck' solos on the demos, I can hear much more feeling in his guitar playing than Buckethead's fast and "without heart and soul" solos. And When I hear Richard's demos (especially the Western ones), I can hear better guitar parts and textures than Buckethead's fast and "without heart and soul" solos. FACT.

Man, Richard + Robin complete each other. I can see it and hear it on my bootlegs.
