i wouldnt mind if they covered a zep tune Grin

Zeppelin would be nice, but it's pretty much impossible to get the song rights.

yeah unless you sell cars to 90 year-olds hihi

no more covers!!! rant 13 years is a plenty long enough time span to come up with 13 originals peace

averaging one original per year.  holy shit Axl, get yer arse in gear!

I don't think there will be any covers on this album,I mean it would be kind of dumb, some would be pissed off waiting all of this time and then the album releast with a cover song on it,but seriously I don't think there will be any covers on it  peace

I cant imagine anybody wants to see covers on the new album...I want it to be a strictly Axl affair.  However, Id like to see some new live covers.

I wouldn't want it on the cd but i'd like to hear Axl do "no woman, no cry" - Bob Marley... I just think i would enjoy that for some reason - in a rock way though... weird.

hardly anyone is allowed to cover no-woman no cry, only a handfun of people have been allowed to do it, and fewer still to twist the lyrics so its not likely to happen, plus i don't think axl would ruin his album and perhapse final chance by putting covers on the disk, perhapse if it is a 3 cd collection then in the last installment he might have 1 as a bonus track or something

well, uncle Axl, if you're reading this....here's my request:  hihi

No covers on CD, but cover Freebird live. Sure you can relate to the lyrics and if you up-date the guitars at the end, they will give a killer show!  peace

Hm, would be a long shot, huh?  Cry

Ive always wanted them to cover a ACDC and a Aerosmith song maybe even a motley crue song

So, is there any tread left on the tires? Or at this point would it be like throwing a hot dog down a hallway?

They already did 2 Aerosmith songs: Mama Kin and Train Kept A-Rollin' (even though this wasn't written by Aerosmith, GNR does the Aerosmith version).  They were both on Live!@* Like a Suicide and GNR Lies.  There's also a live bootlegged cover of GNR doing Whole Lotta Rosie (an AC/DC song).

It's been 14 years of silence... sounds like the GNR story.  Original album-wise, anyway...  Grin

Axl should do 14 years, change it to 15 years, and redo the lyrics a little bit, to make it reflect the GNR story entirely since 1991.
