Did the band just remix the song for the album, or re-record it? Also, which one sounds better?

To my knowledge, the album claims that it is a different mix, done by Abrams. But I think it's been confirmed by the band that they are the exact same on both albums.

You can clearly hear differences between the two, well I know I can. The Hulk version is more classic GN'R sounding, whereas the one on Contraband is not so much, and yeah, there's some added vocals towards the end of the song too.
Matt also does a kick/snare drum thing at the end of the song on the Hulk version that's not on Contraband either.

It's a different mix yeah but there aren't any vocals added, on the Hulk version it's just very very low in the mix, listen with headphones Smiley The drum roll is just cut out.

I remember Slash saying how the Hulk version was mixed on the fly and they thought it didn't really sound good but I like it alot better then the mixing on Contraband. If CB was mixed like this I would've liked the album alot more, it sounds alot more classic rock. I'll bet that's the reason they let someone else mix it, cause it sounded to much GN'R  Wink
