How many times do I have to remind some of you? Requesting tracks will get you banned.

If all this is NOT planned and part of some guerilla marketing campaing, then the only way to stop leaks is a statement from the band. The longer they remain silent, the more tracks will leak.

How do you think we feel when people ignore our requests of not posting links to the leaked songs and asking people for them?

That won't stop it, the only way to stop the leaks is to release the album. Leaking demos before the album's release is a good ploy but only if the real thing is coming out within weeks, which CD doesn't appear to be doing. If anything, these leaks will get the album out quicker and that's a good thing.

This is becoming a joke to me. I'm sick of die-hard fans bitching and moaning. After all of the shit that happened last week there is still no statement from management other than "do not speak of these leeks... wah wah wha". I'm glad people are putting pressure on them. If this was any other band I may not feel this way... but after getting fucked all these years & whatnot what do you expect? I want this to all happen the right way, but unfortunetly GnR & management fucked that from happening years ago and what gets me is we are supposedly so close to the release and yet still they are playing games and not talking.

I say leak on leakers.

How greedy can you get?

I mean, there's been years and years without a new single note of music, then when a few tracks leak, people still want more?

People seemed happy with the crappy IRS clips last year, but now you get three full songs and you still want more?

I can understand that you want to hear new music, but how many new (unfinished) tracks do you want to hear at once?

Why can't you just be happy with what you got so far and leave it at that?

I think its because we still haven't heard ANYTHING from management and no one knows when we will...I'm worried about what Axl will do if these songs come out.  nervous

I want more, and there is nothing wrong with that.  You can't stop an album from leaking.  It's impossible.

I've waited for years for my favorite artist, and if it's sitting there available, you are damn right I am going to listen to it.  It doesn't mean I still won't support him and buy the finished CD product.  Of course I will.

That's actually a very good point. I liked how you put it that way. We all went apeshit over IRS last year. Shit, we were all dying for this site to come back online so we could talk about it with one another. But Jarmo, you're an old school fan. It was before the internet era, but dont you remember how it felt to hear Civil War for the first time? It made you want more. Hearing the two new songs from Rio really made us want more. And like you, I seen GNR live before UYI was released, and it left me wanting to hear even more. Maybe that is a bad analogy, but its all I can think of at the moment. We have lived and breathed GNR our whole lives. When you get a taste, it makes you want the whole thing.

True. The album will leak before its release. Most likely it'll have an actual release date by that time and we'll know it's coming.

These are demos.

Well put Jarmo! I totally agree and thought the same thing after reading some threads.

Though I must admit...
That GNR feeling, that feeling that came and went these last years, it's back with a vengeance and it leaves me craving for more!

I just can't help it! I'm an addict! Grin

They are leaking a 8 track demo, 4 of them are instrumental versions of their respective songs, according to mike, of the radio station who has leak IRS in the radio for the first time.

If there's a 5ft leak, then start doing posts about abum leaking  Tongue Tongue Tongue Tongue
