A spokesperson for Slash, McKagan and Velvet Revolver said the band had no comment.

I wonder who the spokesperson is. How long will it take for a responce, or will VR let this one pass  peace

still no one has said why would slash be there at 5 in the morning after ten years of silence between the two, axl said he was sober, it said he knocked his band mates, etc.. But this doesn't make any sence

1) why did he got there?? Wasn't jus to talk about duff scott or matt

2)why so early in the morning and why was he allowed to gain access so easily with all the bitterness over the years?

3) why does anyone believe this happened?? it's not like it was in axl's voice we heard this or some taping done by axl to bait slash into possibly saying something negative..

In the end I just want music, who really gives a fuck what these guys are saying.. Interviews are cool and all but when you have this many years of nothing let the music do some talking already..

exactly
we dont care about axl's stories, about axl's *ammo* or what ever.
we just want music. gosh this whole story is sooo lame. so very lame. like, not fetch at all.

saying the truth or not, axl is the childish one right now.

Lets say this happened (I dont belive it), maybe he would be able to let loose a little remark about Scott, but I doubt that he ever would say anything about Duff, no matter what, thats why I find this to be un-belivable...

Well, the thing about this is this should settle the Axl vs rest of Guns dispute. If its true, then Slash is basically admitting Axl was right all these years. If it's false, then Axl is lying and we can't believe anything he's said about the split or anything else. I think Axl is lying. Remember on another press release he said Slash and his wife and security, threw away anything Slash wrote that might be successful, because they didn't want to bring GnR to the next level. That just seems rediculous and kinda proves Axl does lie. Hopefully, the truth will come out.

I dont believe this thing. Axl said month ago(?) that he hasnt talk to Slash for ten years and that he just loves that guy. Why would Slash go to Axl's house at 5am to say that Duff is spineless and he hates Matt? Why would Slash say some bad stuff about Duff anyway? Why would Axl even talk to Slash? Especially at 5am? hihi

This is my first post so hi all, although I've been reading the HTGTH boards for 9+ years now
To be honest I'm an old school gunner, seen them in 88 and caught a few gigs in 92/93.
Dont really know what to make of the NuGNR leaks, or the VR CB tunes for that matter. Both bands certainly seem to have something missing. With regards to the Axl / Slash issues GNR has always been about bitching, backstabbing, contraversy and lawsuits just so happens that they made fucking amazing music in between it all. Its a shame that its now at the stage that you have to be pro S&D or Axl not both. Who cares whether Slash showed up and slated VR or whether Axl has jumped on the publicity band wagon to stir some shit.

Thats typical GNR and most folk are used to it. I hope CD does come out this year and wish Axl and co all the best, same for Slash n Duff with the 2nd VR album

Everyone lies. So by implying that Axl never lies, like some are tryin' here, is ridiculous. Slash and Duff made comments by what they thought was rightfully theirs. They never slagged Axl off.

no that is what i call exiting news!!!

Holy shit!! What is that "Dallas" Who's Jr in this game?
If that really happened (meanig Slash knocking on Axl's door) than... yeah waht ... hhmmmmm... guess VR might be over then ???And why would Axl tell something like this? What is happening here?

Man, any of you know anything about the Doors? Even the movie had this in it. I am talking about a deal they all made with each other. To maintain the integrity of the band and not sell out and water down their name.

Ray, John, and Robby fucking went behind Jim's back and sold out one of their songs to a fucking commercial. Jim obviously freaked the fuck out...but the majority had this greed that is apparent with Slash and Duff. Only problem is, is that unlike Jim, Axl owns the fucking name.

The greed of these two is disgusting. I always liked the fact that the GNR name hasn't been whored out. They already appeared in a lame ass chick flick (big Daddy). That is so fucking bad. They can't do more shit like that.

So whether Slash showed up to Axl's pad or not, its a mute point. Fact is, is that Slash and Duff won't leave Axl the fuck alone, and are being money grubbing whores. This could have been handled quietly. Good for Axl to fling some shit back at these two bitches. I actually met Duff a few years back. Nice guy. But its pissing me off that these courts are responsible for us not having CD sooner. Leave the dude alone. What Axl is doing here is retaliating. We know for a fact that Duff and Slash cant keep off of Axl's dick.

Come on, that's not why it hasn't been released.  Merck, with his endless "loose ends" bullshit.  We all know that court cases don't wrap up quickly, this could be dragged out for years.  That is why the leakers our heroes in my book.

I think it's time Don Henley(or at least, his lyrics) paid a visit to this thread

"Heart of the Matter"

I got the call today, I didn?t wanna hear
But I knew that it would come
An old, true friend of ours was talkin? on the phone
She said you?d found someone
And I thought of all the bad luck,
And the struggles we went through
And how I lost me and you lost you
What are these voices outside love?s open door
Make us throw off our contentment
And beg for something more?
I?m learning to live without you now
But I miss you sometimes
The more I know, the less I understand
All the things I thought I knew, I?m learning again
I?ve been tryin? to get down
To the heart of the matter
But my will gets weak
And my thoughts seem to scatter
But I think it?s about forgiveness
Forgiveness
Even if, even if you don?t love me anymore

These times are so uncertain
There?s a yearning undefined
And people filled with rage
We all need a little tenderness
How can love survive in such a graceless age?
The trust and self-assurance that lead to happiness
They?re the very things - we kill I guess
Pride and competition
Cannot fill these empty arms
And the work I put between us
You know it doesn?t keep me warm
I?m learning to live without you now
But I miss you, baby
And the more I know, the less I understand
All the things I thought I?d figured out
I have to learn again
I?ve been trying to get down
To the heart of the matter
But everything changes
And my friends seem to scatter
But I think it?s about forgiveness
Forgiveness
Even if, even if you don?t love me anymore

There are people in your life who?ve come and gone
They let you down you know they hurt your pride
You better put it all behind you baby; life goes on
You keep carryin? that anger; it?ll eat you up inside, baby

I?ve been trying to get down
To the heart of the matter
But my will gets weak
And my thought seem to scatter
But I think it?s about forgiveness
Forgiveness
Even if, even if you don?t love me
I?ve been tryin? to get down
To the heart of the matter
Because the flesh will get weak
And the ashes will scatter
So I?m thinkin? about forgiveness
Forgiveness
Even if, even if you don?t love me
Forgiveness
Forgiveness - baby
Forgiveness
Forgiveness
Forgiveness
Forgiveness
Even if, you don?t love me anymore

What are you, fucking stupid? You really think all that Slash and Duff want is to milk the GnR cow? All they fuckin want is a say in the whole matter. They want to be able to decide what happens with their music. If Slash wanted money he could have so easily earned it by just stayin in GnR or by doing someting like Santana.....

@Sadis, can you use plain words please. And that might be what slash thought of in last oct.

@dolphin, Or rather, "Bye Bye Miss American PI" by Don something, I should say.

@Boodha, retaliating? no I think he's waving goodbye to them on taking the final steps toward CD.

In the end I just want music, who really gives a fuck what these guys are saying.. Interviews are cool and all but when you have this many years of nothing let the music do some talking already..

That's life. If you don't want to know, you don't bother reading and responding to this thread.
Isn't it simple?
I care.

yes yes, but I think it's like having a little stone in your shoe. You need to get rid of it first before having a proper walk? Axl's motives?

Maybe he went there because he wanted to try to get back with Axl. You know just as well as I do that GNR will always get more publicity and make more money then VR. Anyway like I said in a previous post, Im fairly sure Axl has the security tapes to prove that this did happen.

The solos in maddy, the blues, twat and citr are all better than any solo in VR

You guys have to be fucking kidding me!!
The Solo's in Slither, Fall To Pieces and Dirty Little Thing beat the fuck out of the Tapping fest on any of the GNR leaks.
You guys are the biggest Axl fanboys in the whole fucking world!!
Jesus Christ, I bet if Axl started rapping then you guys would call it a great career move and offer Axl a handjob.

Wake up, If you look to any critic, anyone outside of the huge as Axl lovers on this board you'll see that the leaks have gotten very mediocore reviews.
Everyone (including me) was hoping Axl would actually right a Rock record. Instead he writes a classical piece with distorted guitars... Shake the rock world my ass. I'm starting to believe what Slash and Matt said on Behind The Music more and more as every fucking song I've heard so far, be it Live or a demo is trying to hard to be November Rain or Estranged.

Some of you guys on here are a joke. Go ahead call me a Slash nutswinger, I'm not... I'm very dissapointed with Contraband (The only good songs on it are Slither, Fall To Pieces, Dirty Little Thing and Sucker Train Blues.) but atleast I can admit it.

Funny how there's more GN'R in Velvet Revolver then there is in Guns N' Roses.
