Can someone explain to me why the bashing of Axl in this thread...lets not forget...Duff and Slash are suing him and now he is releasing a statement about it. ? As far as Slash coming to his house at 5:30am...who knows like MG said if that was even said by Axl in this statement and one never knows what happens with relationships like the one Slash and Axl had, that is family right there all those years ago..it's quite possible it happened. ?Lawsuits such as this take time to settle...and it's all coming to a head now...this lawsuit and the release of CD...so I don't understand what the bitching is about Axl Huh

Alright, I don't have time for all 37 pages, so if this sentiment has been stated, oh well.

On the subject of the "10 years" Rolling Stone thing; has it been hypothesized that Axl might've been taking the high road, not wanting to air a potentially embarassing moment between former friends and associates in the press? ?

Has it been hypothesized that Slash leaked the demos? ?After all, he seems very privy to the goings-on with the new album.

I'm with a lot of people, and Axl, in thinking that Slash is a fucking snake, and that he has been extremely two-faced and self-contradictory in a number of different interviews over the last ten years. ?I can't quote them directly but they're out there, and everybody knows it: rant yes rant yes rant

Hate to finally say it, but Fuck Slash, Fuck Duff, and Fuck Matt (especially Matt), and all of their fucking lawyers. ?The prospects of a reunion have just been faxed into oblivion, and good riddance. ?This is Axl's band and it always has been. ?ok

By the way, if they get back together after this, it's just for the money, and Fuck the Whole Lot of them. ?Including Axl.

My two cents.

This is Axl's band and it always has been. ?ok

I'll agree to that the day that CD outsells AFD.
Until then go fuck yourself because we can all see how much influence "the band" had on GN'R when comparing AFD, the album that made Guns more then just? a flash in the pan, to these leaks and to when Axls ego started taking over on the UYI records. They sound nothing alike. At all and we all know which is better.

Jeezus fucking Christ... I remember posting in this topic earlier today, but that was back on page 5 I think... and when I started typing that post, it was still 1 page. Then 39 other people had to go post before me so my post ended up making no sense in the exact place. Roll Eyes

Oh, and Neemo... totally agree! And that was a funny post! hihi

Wait... I understand the saying but I don't understand how it compares to this discussion.
Are you saying that Axl and Slash will always be remembered for Appitite? Because if so then I agree with you but your only helping out my argument by saying that Guns will always be remembered for Appitite which is the album that everyones influence is most evident. Therefore proving that GN'R isn't all Axl.

Plus one could always make the argument that without Slash making up that main riff to Sweet Child O' Mine GN'R would never break the mainstream as that was there first big hit.

Axl does wrong. But alot of the times he gets alot of shit for stuff he has no control over as well. There is no way I would agree with not showing up to a show,or showing up late. I respect Slash and Duff for the good tunes they made with VR,the tours, and the communication with fans. But Axl saying this does not make him in the wrong. Fuck if it was me in Axl's shoes,I would have told Slash to fuck off away from my house. But alot of you wouldn't like that either.

I really can't understand what the fuck it is with yankees and their court. How can you love it all so much?

Ever since mid 90's, it has been impossible to  throw a stone without hitting a moronic Davd E.Kelly produced "good looking&young laweyers solve crap and fuck eachother"-bullshit.
Which runs for 6 seasons, then makes room to a brand new, identical bullshit marathon.
Incredible amount of movies, TV series are based on, or atleast lean heavily on court enviroment.
How can it all be so damn exiting and important and worth of attention?

Actually, you DO NOT  to throw that stone mentioned earlier.David E.Kelly would sue you over physical abuse. Sharon Stone would sue you over copyright violation.Parents whose fucked up kid killed some people would sue you because you can throw stones in Grand Theft Auto aswell.

When a celebrity gets sued about something it gets treated and covered like a sport event in media.
Somehow trials and lawsuits have made their way as an important and integral  part of pop culture.

..And now you have people, who used to belong into what was once  called as "most dangerous band out there" suing each other from some mundane bullshit over and over again?
What the fuck has happened to simply punching the fellow rocker you don't like?
Or Giving few drunken phonecalls to them?
Bashing them back in media?
Making songs about them?? Helloo0000OOOOoooooooou?!?!?
Lawsuits.Hah!HAH i say!

P.S
LeftToDecay's friendly guide to avoid looking like a complete fucking idiot,
Chapter IX:

You - ->DO NOT< - -  want to fill a lawsuit build around phrases  like "has continually made negative and malicious statements"and
"attacks [his] integrity" if you are/were taking part in writing&recording process of songs that come with lyrics such as o i dunno:

And that goes for all you punks in the press
That want to start shit by printin' lies
Instead of the things we said
That means you
Andy Secher at Hit Parader
Circus Magazine
Mick Wall at Kerrang
Bob Guccione Jr. at Spin,
What you pissed off cuz your dad gets more
pussy than you?
Fuck you
Suck my fuckin' dick

Do you think Slash was yelling those things outside the gate? Or did he come in and have a cordial talk with Axl. I find the gate story hard to believe.

Its been said many times that legal issues were hindering the release of Chinese Democracy. Axl said at Rio in 2001 that people tried to stop him from being there that day. Richard Fortus has also said that there were outside disturbances that were delaying the album. He said that they made the decision as a band not to talk about it to anyone. Those are jus t two instances.

Its quite obvious that its Slash(and maybe Duff) that is trying to stop the release of Chinese Democracy. Now Axl, with one foul swoop, has released this bit of information making Slash look bad and put VR on shakey ground. I think this is Axl's way of saying 'get off my back and let me do my thing or I'll open my mouth and jepodise VR's future'.

Smart move, Axl.  ok

Well no I don't think he was yelling at the gate either. But my point was if I were Axl I'd tell him to fuck off. All this talk for years, and then he suddenly shows up saying things totally different.
