I love OMG, i think the production is fine. I wouldn't change a bit - i love the effects on Axl's voice too. The song is in my top 5 fav GNR tunes - an album like that would not dissapoint me.

OMG is a fantastic song.  A huge step forward which is really great to hear.  That is the exciting thing about Axl is that he pushes his own limits.

It's the only time i have ever spent ?15 on one track lol But there was no way i was going to miss out on Axl's first release in years.  And i'll be there the day we get more :-)

I agree with you on this one,I spent $18 on the soundtrack tho,it was well worth it for just one new GN'R song, but ofcourse we don't know what Axl is up to these days,it would be great to hear something soon. beer

I love the "extra production", like the filter on Axl's voice, the screams, the synths. The song kicks ass, and if OMG is a sign of things to come,  love

Great tune the way it is.

I would be so greatful for another release even if it was only 1 song like Oh My God.....Just for Axl to show us he's still making music would amaze the shit out of me.

Ain't this the best industrial\ nu-metal song you've ever heard?
IMO, rock sucked big time after the grunge era and there has not been many good bands since.

I like brides of destruction and VR and that type of rock, but axl kinda proved with oh my god that the new shit has it's potential too...
don't you agree?

Of all the new type of rock... oh my god is the best ok

It's definitely the coolest song to come out in a super-long time. It's GNR's most under-appreciated song, ever, IMO.

I agreee, It's a great song. Altrought I miss a better solo on it (like I do in Conraband too), it's very great, and so do the lyrics.

When i first heard this song i must honestly say I fucking hated it, but over time this song has grown on me and I like it quite a bit now.  Axl's voice sounds great on it too, gives hope for the new material ok

To me Oh My God was not very pleasing when it came out. Now I think it was ahead of its time when it came out, because I love the song at the moment. It's full of those so called "interesting noices".
I really like the song nowadays and I 2 think it shows a lot of potential for the GN'R's future songs.

Have a good weekend!

Best regards,

Now I think it was ahead of its time when it came out

How was the song ahead of its time?

Its very much a product of its influences - White Zombie, NIN, probably Smashing Pumpkins.  I certainly dont see anything innovative in the song whatsoever.  Not even close.  I cant even say its particularly innovative for a GNR record, since "My World" covered similar ground 8 years earlier.

With that said, I love the song.  The lyrics are venomous and the music appropriately ferocious.  Ive even come to enjoy the vocal effects, but I hope thats the only time theyre used.

When I first listened to it I thought it was so strange that I couldn't listen to it again for a long time. But after I bought all the other albums it kind of made sense as a progression thing, especially after My World. Now I love it!
