Argh, the obstacles of languages again. I thought "trainers" referred to his trousers - as these are called "training trousers" in German. But it seems, his shoes were meant.

abs = abdominal muscles = lower stomach muscles.

And yea... I have a lot of pics too... I keep meaning to do something kewl and artsy in Photoshop, but I keep undo-ing because they're perfect the way they are! ok love drool

I agree...he needs to wear more fitted clothes.  Looking back at what he wore in '02, I just cringe, I'm sorry.  I mean my pet peave is actually guys who wear jerserys (they only belong only on the playing field)...and then those black silky jogging pants...ech!  He needs a fashion consultant (not his sister this time!)...  I personally really like the style VR have for themselves--mature rock stars (esp. Mat w/ his ties and vests)...although this look wouldn't wrk for Axl.  I loved it when Ax wore that black leather kilt in the early 90s--very kwel. 
tough question...perhaps combine his love of jerseys but make it more his own...not so baggy!  PLEASE!
