jameslofton29,

Stations usually get singles, yeah, about a week or so in advance from my understanding.  I'm not sure exactly what happened with the UYI stuff, though.  That was pretty much a different time.

(The stations getting those tracks a week early explains how they tend to 'leak' alot before they're ever aired)

Bottom line is that by this time tomorrow we should have a much better understanding of what, if anything, to make of all of this.  Time, indeed, reveals all.

WEZX Rock 107 in Scranton, PA doesn't have it. (I'm an intern/soon to be employee there)

97.9 X in Wilkes-Barre, PA (I have a friend that's a jock there, and his boss knows people at Geffen) have heard nothing about it either.

But still - too many stations are independently verifying this...

In addition to getting them a week early, the FM stations in the larger markets will get visits from label reps, and some goodies depending upon the importance of the spins. ?Universal claims they have "no idea," about the album and songs right now, but that might be a cover. ?Univeral, although not officially crossing the line into "payola" levels, is notorious for pushing not only spins at stations, but also manufacturing album sales. ?Just some food for thought. ?i concur with Darknemus, par for the course is a week ahead of time. ?They could begin to send this stuff the day of, though, soon, via the internet.

Dude,

Why don't you do some sneak peak news reporting and call 93X.  If anyone would have it...they would!!
