I agree with your assessment of Merck, he doesn't seem to ever fully explain anything, and shouldn't be considered the final word on this situation.

However, I personally think it's odd that IRS would be the first single. Sure, it's a good song, but I think it's almost universally accepted that "Better" is a much more radio friendly song. As much as I'd like this to be true, I can't really see it panning out.

rofl rofl yeah, by a couple hundred information starved fanatics peace

if the email from merck is legit, then it's the final word. It's a fake, get over it ok

A true fan - no, not that 'truefan' (where is he?)

Before this thread turns into 100 different people arguing the tonal quality of an mp3 vs. an FM wavelength broadcast vs. XM vs. Lossless audio vs. DAT vs. freaking MIDI files, can we take that discussion somewhere else?

On topic: Obviously time will prove this rumor right or wrong.  I mean, if stations are playing the track, we're going to know about it.  What's 2 or 3 earwitness reports for the time being could easily be 50-100 tomorrow, again if this is true.

I agree, I would imagine you heard the linked demo and it sounded better to you on the radio versus hearing it as a MP3 file online

It would sound worse on the radio than on your computer

maybe your computer... not mine... my home audio and reciever would blow away any computer speakers and an mp3 played with windows media or whater..

Bet....

Wrong, a mp3 made into a aiff or wav you lose a lot of quality. Its just like if you take a song off a cd make it an mp3 and turn it back into a aiff/wave its going to sound worst than the orginal cd version

im telling you dude... the radio on my home audio is better than any computer speakers or files you have....

The radio?

Unless you have satellite radio which broadcasts audio at a higher bitrate than FM, you have no idea what you're talking about.

and untill you learn about speakers, and home audio set up you have no idea what your talking about either... but im sure your computer speakers rock!

The source of the audio is different than the device that transmits the audio.

I can put a 24 kbs MP3 file over your 10 Gagillian Dollar home audio system and it will still sound like shit.

So if I listen through a 24 kbs MP3 file through headphones, you're listening through the same 24 kbs MP3 file through a 10 Gagillian Dollar home audio system.

That doesn't change the source of the audio.

All I know is I'm sick of Merck playing games. It seriously has to stop. The momentum from the leaks is already dead. He had his time to strike while the iron was hot and he blew it. Simple as that.

What about the poster who comes to the board and lies? Isn't that poster supposed to be banned?

Did you meet danny and his faxes?

I'm here now, and stirring things up in a thread for no reason is just pathetic.  Hence the warnings.

I mean "mychokingsoul" who has been less then honest in history of posting.

I have a better home audio set up than you, and trust me I know more than you but think what you want. You are wrong. Playing an mp3 over an FM station is going to sound worse than it would on your computer since the bit rate is higher for the computer than it is for the FM statations. ?An decompressed mp3 is not going to sound amazing over the station and the only way it would sound BETTER on the radio is if the station had the CD copy that was never made into an mp3 then turned back into an AIFF file. ?So if the station played a verion that sounded better than the version we have, you have to ?believe its the legit single or it was taken off the first orginal leaked CD and never made into an mp3
