I could see the record company doing this. Hell IRS has been at #49 on the Radio and Records active rock chart for 2 weeks now and this is only a demo. Why not give the rock stations a final studio mix of IRS to play instead of a lower quality leak. #1 its already being played on stations, #2 now every rock station can give it a play and not be afraid of management.

right- it's already charted, so why not make it the single? it's enough of a rocker/simliar to other guns stuff that its been well recieved-even if we dont think it's the best, if its getting airplay, it seems like a smart move.

Maybe the band are doing what a lot of bands do and release different singles for the US. and UK etc. I mean I can't see most of the world connecting with this song. lol

Most times the first single off the album is one of the? best, Merk said that IRS is not even one of the 10 best on the album. IRS is a  good song but its not better than citr, twat or better.

maybe..but perhaps they had another single in mind and the charting of the demo pushed them to this first- i'm going to call Lazer 99.3 out in Springfield, MA and ask them if theyve gotten anything, they were playing the demo last month.

i disagree.  a lot of times the first single off an album is not the best song.  you could be mine wasn't even a top ten song from illusions.  i think IRS is a great choice, a rocker, great chorus.  better is great also but i really think it is a little too "out there" to be a first single.

106.5 KWHL in Anchorage says they have an official CD of the IRS single, which they will play today or tomorrow. The DJ said that they "could play it today, but maybe tomorrow. Hell, you've waited 10 years, you can wait another day". They announced that they have a GnR single, and I called the station (907-349-9691) and asked for the title of the single and they said it was IRS. The website of the station is www.kwhl.com. I've already Emailed the DJ with the following Email, so please don't bomb the station with requests or questions. Also, the message says I don't know that it's IRS, I sent it before I got impatient and called.

Me too. I think the only leaked 'demo' that sounds close to being completed.

So either the Alaskans are high, or they truly have the first single from CD.

I choose Option 3 - Alaskan DJ is a liar
