I'm seeing them at the Warfield on the 14th, then leaving for Coachella the day after to see them again.

Just announced an additional Brooklyn show, and a Philly one.
Glad I just paid a shitload for the 7/5 Brooklyn one.

Well this is a pretty old thread! Fat Bastards are back - again!
I had the pleasure of catching FNM yet again in 2012 in London at both Hammersmith and Brixton - I cant recommend this youtube audience cam mix of Hammersmith enough
:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BDrGOwgOKQc
HOWEVER - after a two year gig gap, they're back onstage! I went to Hyde Park on July 4th for an immense one day line-up: Soulfly, Motorhead, Faith No More, Soundgarden and Black Sabbath!!!
FNM were fantastic - first time I'd seen them outside (always previously seen them in hot sweaty venues in Scotland and London) - it was a baking hot day, big crowd and they played for just over an hour, dressed as priests - and included 2 new songs. Fucking great to see them again!
Setlist:
1. Zombie Eaters
2. From Out of Nowhere
3. Epic
4. Caffeine
5. The Gentle Art of Making Enemies
6. Easy (Commodores cover)
7. Midlife Crisis
8. Everything's Ruined
9. Cuckoo for Caca
10. King for a Day
11. Ashes to Ashes
12. Superhero/Leader of Men (New song / World premiere)
Encore:
13. Motherfucker (New song / World premiere)
14. We Care a Lot
Some clips of the new songs - they seemed to go down really well with the crowd - esp "motherfucker"

Had the pleasure of seeing FNM twice, once on the King for a Day tour; the second on Album of the Year; Bungle once on Disco, and Patton once with Rahzel. The best was the King show in B'more- at a small place called Hammerjack's, that I no longer know if it's still there. By this time really only true fans were seeing them and a combination of curiosity seekers and people with nothing else to do. Patton was wild- writhing around, might of done a backflip. At one point Patton made a joke about Roddy Bottum, " Hammer Jack's, this sounds like a place you like to hang out at." and asked why we were here when the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers were at Camden Yards. I was getting crushed near the front of the stage and the audience from the balcony were throwing down ice. When I saw Bungle in Philly at the Trocadero the entire time Patton wore a gimp mask and they only did songs from Disco, then Quote Unquote, then a spot on cover of Loverboy's Working for the Weekend and then left. They played about 25 minutes and the audience was a combination of bewildered and pissed, as no one had really heard the new album.
That they're now legendary somewhat amazes me as most bands from that era never come back as hard as they were; dated a girl in NYC who saw them in Williamsburg in about `10 and gave me her King for a Day shirt, which was surprising because when that record came out it got so-so reviews. True talent such as Faith No More comes around maybe only once in a lifetime.

I had to listen to the album at least five times to have a real opinion on it, and I gotta say that I already consider it a classic. It is exactly what you would expect fro them but new at the same time, in the way that it doesn't feel rehashed at all.
I think it also has to do with the fact that I never liked anything that Mike did outside of FNM, so listen to them all back together is a very special feeling. By the way, Blabbermouth gave a 10/10 review.
