Just check out the guitar melody to a small victory. Ive always loved it. I first heard it many years ago played in a bar before a band came on.
Knew it was Faith from Pattons vocals.
Thats when i checked out Angel Dust. After previously only listening to The Real Thing

They sold out long ago when they cut their hair.
\m/
rock on.
seriously.
It was a joke.....
Although it is always disappointing when a bands cuts their hair short.
You are a total sell out to your genre if you actually believe that trite!
Like i said. I was joking, because someone said these guys sold out just because they reformed.
I think aslong as they reform and can still give a good show. Then its fine.
Selling out is being apart of bad adverts for butter or something.
But, again i will add. I do find it dissappointing when acts go from long hair, or whatever crazy cuts.
To short hair...its just a bit boring to watch. Like nu-metal bands when they start rocking, it just looks silly.

Depends what you look for at a live gig.
I look at how the bassist is playing wtf he is doing.
How the guitarist plays the solo.
And all the bands moves which often get me pumped up to rock more.
Hate bands that stand on the spot looking sorry for themselves.

yeah and mike is pretty captivating when he's performing live as well. Am not a big fan of bands standing stock still a la Oasis either. they look bored - then I'll be fkn bored too.
I'd be well up for seeing FNM again - though this time, I'll try not to crack another rib...(the perils of seeing FNM in a tiny venue!)

Official Press release:
--Begin--
FAITH NO MORE
Faith No More has always stood out as some sort of unique beast; part dog, part cat--its music almost as schizophrenic as the personalities of its members. When it all worked, it worked really well, even if the chemistry was always volatile. Throughout our 17years of existence, the mental and physical energy required to sustain this creature was considerable and relentless. Though amicable enough, when we finally split, we all followed paths seemingly destined to opposite ends of the universe.
Yet during the entire 10 years that have passed since our decision to break up we've experienced constant rumors and requests from fans and promoters alike. Nevertheless, for whatever reason, none of us kept in regular touch, much less to discuss any possibilities of getting together.
What's changed is that this year, for the first time, we've all decided to sit down together and talk about it. And what we've discovered is that time has afforded us enough distance to look back on our years together through a clearer lens and made us realize that through all the hard work, the music still sounds good, and we are beginning to appreciate the fact that we might have actually done something right.
Meanwhile we find ourselves at a moment in time with zero label obligations, still young and strong enough to deliver a kickass set, with enthusiasm to not only revisit our past but possibly add something to the present. And so with this we've decided to hold our collective breaths and jump off this cliff....
BACK, GOD FORBID, INTO THE MONKEY CAGE!!!
We can only hope that the experience of playing together again will yield results erratic and unpredictable enough to live up to the legacy of FNM.
Who know where this will end or what it will bring up...only the future knows. But we are about to find out!
FAITH NO MORE are:
Mike Bordin, Roddy Bottum, Bill Gould, Jon Hudson and Mike Patton

I know. That my issue, he was a big part of making the best FNM material. His guitar style worked great with the band

KFAD and AOTY were both awesome albums without Jim Martin. I dug him too, but the band didnt suffer at all without him. Angel Dust is their best album, but not because of Martin.

Martin was never really considered a great guitar player. And he barely wrote any material. Yeah, the guitar on Angel Dust was good. Its an amazing album. One of my all time favorites. But Martin wasnt a big time contributor to it. I do appreciate him, though, dont get me wrong.

I was talking about his writing contributions on Angel Dust, by the way. I know he had a bigger hand in The Real Thing.

Nah, if Jim was in, Id be a little disappointed. Then it would feel like a cash grab reunion. The guitar work got better after he left. No doubt about it. This coming from a HUGE FNM fan. Its not like it really matters unless they go back in the studio. Then I definitely wouldnt want him in.
