I caught NIN in Denver twice last May on a club tour they did prior to setting out on the Arena tour.  How cool would it be to see GNR do this prior to heading to Europe for their big festival dates?  I think it would be incredible to see them play in a more intimate setting!

I think that would be pretty cool to, but don't think Axl would do that now a days.

Maybe not a "club", but I could see them doing something like they did at the HOB as a warmup. I don't think they want thier first gig in over 3 years to be in front of thousands of people at RIR.

Axl couldn't even fit his panio at some of the clubs that NIN played last summer. hihi

It'd be awesome, but Axl seems like the type of guy who needs a lot of room on stage, not to mention there's 8 guys in the band.

I doubt we'll ever see Axl on any stage but a arena stage again.

Does this look infected?

I've always said that would be a genius idea for Axl. A LOT of people hate him right now, and that would be a perfect way to re-introduce himself to fans.

It would be cool, but I don't see it happening. On the other  hand, at least  they would be assured of selling out.  Wink

Like all the other warm-up club gigs (1991, 2000), I would think it would be announced only a few days in advance.

Here's hoping.

Sorry to tell you but that is wrong. The Ritz show is the only one that they did that. The Shows in Vegas were announced over a month in advance. plenty of time to plan a trip there.

It would be great to see Axl and the guys do a couple of club shows, but as some other people have said on here, I can't really see it happening. However, it would be a good way to warm up for the big festivals they are lined up for, i.e. Download. It'd also be great as it would be just for the GN'R fans, instead of a huge mix of music fans that will be at the festivals.

Hopefully they will tour for CD when it gets released, and that would make up for no club shows!

I could never see Axl doing a club tour ever again. Didn't the Band want to doa small club tour to support Spaghetti Incident but Axl shot it down?
