Yeah Paul Huge plays on T.W.A.T (according to JamesLofton), which I am surprised at because I always thought TWAT was one of the newer songs.

The Wikipedia entry for GN'R shows Chris Pitman having actually joined the band in '98... it just wasn't announced until just prior to the 00-01 New Year's shows... make sense actually.... if Axl was going down the programming route... he would have gotten someone involved a lot sooner than just days before his first gig in 7 years... I think Pitman's been there for awhile. ok

the other things is what made axl choose these guys?/ I can understand like brain being friends with bucket or something to help him find a great guitar player..  Also what was their interest to join?? Old fans, just had nothing else going??

Axl and Matt Sorum saw Robin Finck play with Cirque du Soleil and they were very impressed.

the first show listed at gnrontour.com is

01.03.84 - The Orphanage, North Hollywood, CA
notes: This band is "Rose" - Axl, Izzy [lead & rhythm guitar], Chris Weber [lead & rhythm guitar], Johnny Kreiss [drums] & Rick Holland [bass].

===
these following shows are taken from gnrontour.com

04.11.85 - Radio City, Anaheim, CA
notes: This was the first incarnation of the band, which featured Axl, Izzy, Duff, Tracii Guns & Rob Gardener. In the flyer you can clearly see Tracii Guns & Rob Gardener, not Slash & Steven. << this is the first and only show played in this lineup listed at gnrontour.com

06.06.85 - Troubador, Hollywood, CA
notes: This is the first Guns N' Roses gig that included Slash & Steven. They joined the band on this date. Tracii Guns & Rob Gardener are in the flyer for this show!

correct me if I'm wrong

Billy H was a sound engineer or whatever... not a regular member. about Josh, I'm not sure if he was regular member or just session musician

oh, I nearly forgot about Chris Vrenna who was a member for a short time after Matt Sorum left and before Josh Freese joined... as far as I remember

Buckethead joined sometime in 1999.

according to google search, he most probably joined the band in 2000.

Quote
Brain (and Buckethead) both joined GnR in late 2000

according to Bucketheadland FAQ http://www.bucketheadland.com/faq/faq2/FAQ_2_0.html

Quote
11) When did Buckethead join Guns n’ Roses? Why???
Buckethead joined Guns n’ Roses in 2000 when singer Axl Rose gave him a Leatherface doll for Christmas. It is reported that he signed his contract at Disneyland. Later the band built him a chicken coop to record in.

Yes he was because Paul Huge played on "Sympathy for the Devil" when it was released/when he replaced Gilby in 1994.

I think that Buckethead joined the band in 1999 or at the begin of 2000, cause Josh Fresse statedt that he played with Buck

I'm not sure... Buckethead brought Brain in GNR or Brain brought Bucket? if the first is true, then you could be right

But he wasn't offically released until '95 right? I think those are the dates that Jarmo gives when possible, the offical announcement of their arrival/departure
