a long time ago he mentioned releasing 3 albums, maybe in 2002. so i guess they will release chinese, then do a tour for it and then about a year later, do it again and then repeat. hopefully by this time they will have even more material so it doesn't take forever again to release more!  of course this is the Ideal situation........

I don't like the idea of naming the three forthcomming albums as Chinese Democracy, but could it be ?

why not...... he could call the first:

"Chinese Democracy 1: Where's slash?"

In the follow up we get the answer:

"Chinese Democracy 2: He's in my ass"

In the last saga we get it once more confirmed

"Chinese Democracy 3: yep, he still is"

wow there has been an explosion of stories over the past week..and with each one it seems more and more likely that it's finally going to happen...the fact that axl is venturing into public, AND he has played CD for people on multiple occasions is a very good sign...this is the behavior of a man who has something going on in the near future

Yeah, maybe he is partying it up because he knows the album is done now that the king kong sized monkey is finally off his bac and now it is time to celebrate and go wild for awhile. ?I wish that they were more specific in describing the songs though, wonder if they are the ones we heard or if they got to listen to something new.

Come to think of it... was it Merck who said that the release and promotion of the new album(s) would be something we've never seen before? If my memory is correct.... what are the chances of releasing 3 discs at the same day really, has that ever been done before? It would be a dream come true for all of us in the GNR community, but probably a bad idea from a business point of view...

I can't believe at this point that 3 discs will be released at one time.  I would imagine that the person misinterpreted what Axl may have said after a few shots of Patron.  Maybe he said he had 3 CDs worth of material, or some shit like that.

Also, anyone ever wonder why Axl seems to be taking CDs around with him to clubs/parties and then he always seems to let someone listen to his Chinese Democracy songs?  I believe it, just find it odd that he would carry that thing around with him and give people he meets previews.

I don't get that, either.  He doesn't release it to a fanbase who've been clamoring for years, but he plays it for people in strip clubs and bars who could give two shits one way or the other.  Why do that?
