Merck has worked for Sanctuary for about 20 years or so, but does anyone know how long he has managed GNR? I saw a news clip the other day from when Axl was arrested for throwing a wine bottle at his next door neighbor's head and throwing her keys off of his condo balcony ( ). anyhow, his manager (with mullet in FULL effect) at the time picked him up from jail, and I'm wondering if it was Merck.

Late 80's, I think, Or maybe 1990. Axl wrote a song
About what happened. It's on the first "Illusion": "Right Next Door to Hell."

No it wasn't Merck. It was Doug GoldStein. He was GnRs manager since early Illusion days till about 2003, then Merck took over. Doug was great at his job, GnR were everywhere during the Illusions days and he helped build the hype. In 2001 a full European tour was cancelled and Axl said He didn't know GnR were ment to do a tour because nobody (Doug Goldstein) told him . . . . don't think anyone believed that ? It was rumoured he missed the entire tour because of hair transplants.

probably because he didn't always say yes to Axl; but that's pure speculation on what it seems like Axl needs
