...? ?drool? hey Guys, i really wonder why doesn't Axl sing don't cry since 1993? even GNR didn't play it at rock in rio 2001 so, what's da'secret that Axl/new gnr hide, honestly? sometimes I think Axl's voices isn't able anymore to sing it but still da'guy sings other heavy tracks like WTTJ, SCOM, Rocket Queen,? anyway, we all can notice that don't cry wasn't played in 2002....it's gonna happen THIS TIME AGAIN then?? Shocked? ... hey fucking journalists this is for ya :? y'all didn't have the real balls to ask Axl 'bout it so i hope you do RIGHT NOW!? ?rant


folks, ur opinions might make us understand this fucking situation? ok?

Oh, and ARV... didn't you think that maybe they didn't play Don't Cry simply because they were playin' other songs and didn't have room for it... OR they didn't play it because MAYBE... just MAYBE not all of the new line up knew it! Its a long shot, but it could happen! ok

I agree with you, Don't Cry should be played, it's an amazing song.

I think on the 2001-2002 era of Gn'R Axl wanted to soley focus on Appetite (since that's the classic) and slowly branch us into the newer material. ?Once the album is out I dobut we'll see much older material at all, but it wouldn't suprise me if some songs such as Don't Cry or Civil War got kicked back into the set every now and then.

didn't they get sued over that song because someone else proved that they had written it. i'm pretty damn sure that happened. maybe that's why it's no longer played.

There is no need to play anything from the UYI albums other than whats already been played.
I wouldn't want to hear Don't Cry,or Estranged when I see them live,I want to hear the new shit.

I thought some relatively obscure Mexican musician claimed that he had written the melody and sued... but I believe he lost. Not entirely sure about that though...

Anyway, Don't Cry is actually a reeeeeeeeeeeally old song (AFD era) that Axl and Izzy wrote about a chick that they both dated and had crushes on.... perhaps it's just no longer relevant to what Axl's all about at this point... he's going to have a ton of ballads every concert, and if that's the case... maybe he just feels more "in tune" with SCOM, patience, NR, The Blues, CITR, etc.

I like Don't Cry a lot... but I always felt it had the least to offer when compared against NR, SCOM, Patience, The Blues etc....
