While a "planned leak" would make for a great marketing tool, we have something much more ambitious and broad in scope for the release of perhaps the most anticipated rock album of the past decade. The leaks are being taken care of and Chinese Deomcracy will be released properly, and soon."

Plus, if it was really Merck, he's just contact Stevie Rachelle and get him to remove links.  He's been removing a bunch of download links to other stuff recently, so I'm sure he'd comply if asked.
