To be honest I kinda burned myself out on VR for awhile...  I mean shit, I saw them 5 times in a little over a year..  Each show evolved more and was different than the previous (until NYE) but still it was overkill.   I had to put them away for awhile..

Well, I am getting excited again and wonder how long we will have to wait.  I hope they are back for round two by summer.  I have real high hopes for this next album..  I think it will bury Contraband which I considered a pretty solid effort.. The band has grown together and knows what we liked and didn't like... They will hopefully get a better producer too..

My band just started playing "Dirty Little Thing" and man is that fucking fun!!! We are playing St Patty's day and are going to open the second set with that.... Gonna be awesome!!!

I guess the upcoming GNR shows and leaks have killed the VR bug off a little here.

Regardless of the new GN'R leaks, I think my interest faded not too long after seeing them twice in concert last year.

The shows were great, but it was like finally fullfilling a dream to see Slash (who was like 1 metre away in front of me!), so it was for me like the VR experience was heightened to a point that it couldn't go anywhere from there.

I stilll listen to Contraband from time to time, but I don't think I'll be too excited again until new album news starts coming.

Actually, hearing the GnR leaks is what's fuelling my VR bug again hihi

I think VR did Contraband to reintroduce real rock n roll to music fans again as it had been missing for a very long time....

I think there follow up will be the best rock album since AFD as they will have been playing together for over 3 years, rather the 3 months when Scott just joined.

I have the vr bug now and I think it sucks how nothing is quite known time wise.. it's like the dvd the new album, the side projects going on... I figured since vr was new they would have just stayed on topic and let all the other stuff go..

I read on the VR board they are still writing; haven't gone to the studio yet, and is't looking like Set/Oct for the 2nd album.  No clue about the solo, sides, or DVD

Who would have ever thought that the GN'R album may come before the second VR album. A month ago everybody would have thought the VR would have some first   Cheesy (it still may of course but my money is on CD).

I haven't heard anything about them recording, only kind of writing and jamming, so sounds like they are just taking it easy and taking their time.

Yeah man, he is pretty damn good.... He just loves the shit and plays all the time... That was the closest thing to a Guns song we could do.  My singer doesn't like Gn'R but he does like VR......

Damn this guy must atleast practice 6 hours a day or else it wouldn't even possible for him to play the DLT solo Shocked after only playing the guitar for a year and a half.

I guess the upcoming GNR shows and leaks have killed the VR bug off a little here.

Just go see the new GnR live and you'll be counting down the hours till VR come back with a tour

I am ready for some new VR material.  I enjoyed Contraband, and I think they can put out an even better album.  With Chinese Democracy coming out soon (mabey), I am sure VR is gonna give it all they got (without taking 13 years to do so).

I am also pumped for a new VR album.  I am very interested in how Scott will influence more of VR's music this time around.  I think the new one will be alot better than the last and I liked Contraband.  I would really like to see what their setlist is going to be like this next time around.

Me too. I have  the bug for some real VR rock, not techo-industrial crap. So I am hopeful. The worst thing is that VR got so big that the next tour will be stadiums or arenas, and I saw them a month after CB was released in a cozy little setting  and was an arm's length away from Slash. So those days are gone forever I am afraid.

Grouse, I agree.  That is a tough solo for even Slash to play.  A year and a half?  Fock me, that is mind blowing.  He must really, really, really practice all focking day.  Cause that takes some impressive chops to play that with such little experience.
