Lying "leakers" - don't believe everything they say

This guy on MyGNRForum is a particularly unpleasant character. He claims to have 15 seconds of a song we've "never heard of." I asked for a sample and he asked for my phone number. Why would someone who has a sample of a song - which he claimed he was willing to pass around to prove he had other songs - need a telephone number? I could easily just record whatever he plays me through the phone. The answer is that he can say he was banned from MyGNR and lost my number, and keep putting off calling me.

I do believe he has Catcher in the Rye. I don't believe he has anything else. And I believe he's attempting to make other fans jealous.

Don't believe everyone who comes on here claiming to have all these songs, because I've run into a lot of liars so far who don't have anything. I'm not trying to sound like an "expert" - but I've seen people offer money and I think it's ridiculous. Have patience. Whatever is out there will leak eventually. (I really thought Catcher would be out by the end of the weekend.)

I think some other songs ARE out there - but people holding off on releasing CITR are stupid because people who have the REALLY rare songs already have the "less" rare songs like CITR. And I don't think trading something ultra-obscure like Prostitute for a song many people have (Catcher) is a fair bargain, do you?

This is going to keep going in circles and people are going to keep lying until someone, somewhere, finally obtains a copy of the song through someone else and leaks it.

By the way - if you DO have Catcher in the Rye, and you are reading this, and think you can hold on to it to trade for another song...trust me, it ain't gonna happen. Everyone looking to trade already has it. And people who MIGHT have other songs have CITR already. You're just delaying the inevitable.

How many people have you talked to with Catcher in the Rye? I've talked to a lot of people. And they weren't lying.

How many people have you talked to with This I Love? Prostitute? Thyme? General?

Saying they just aren't on the message boards is idiotic. There are dozens of people with CITR on the message boards and a large number have come forward but NO ONE has even claimed to have any other songs (at least no one that could back up what they were saying)?

Seems unlikely. I think there are more copies of CITR floating around. Therefore, it is less rare.

Just think - after Axl and GN'R are long gone, years from now, "The Chinese Democracy Demos" will be released... "hundreds of hours' worth of never-before-heard material."

Axl has an entire library of Chinese Democracy demos, instrumental tracks, etc. That stuff will likely surface years from now as some sort of special box set.

i know who that guy is...and i know for a fact that he has Catcher...he claimed to have another, which he said will get out there after all this trading crap is done, but i don't know, we'll probably just have to wait and see about that track.? From talking to him, he seemed anxious to be done and jsut get the tracks out there

I don't doubt that he has Catcher, but I do doubt his intentions are to just "get the tracks out there." Not after he keeps spamming MyGNR with his trading posts and teasing "descriptions" of CITR which are both vague and insulting.
