I'll probably listen to it twice in a row, reflect while listening to something else, and then come back to it shortly thereafter.  I love the way certain tracks on a new album stand out immediately, but you don't really get the nuances until a few more listens.  And, knowing Axl, the music will be complex and many spins will be required to really "get" the album.

I kind of hope that the album is better than the songs that have already been leaked and/or played live.  I do not think it measures up to the past glories of Axl so my hope is that he has more tricks up his sleeve.  I would like to be blown away by it but I have a feeling that it will be like VR: exciting at first, redundant afterwards.

On the day that Chinese Democracy is............................ finally .................... released I will rush to the city centre HMV, buy 2 copies (one for home and one just to carry around wherever I go, then jump in the shop window, pull down my trousers, stick my arse to the window and shout "Whoooooooooooooo Hooooooooooooo!".  Then, I know will no doubt be arrested and have to spend a few hours in a cell.   But it will be worth it.

The first thought that will come to mind is "it's about fucking time!!" and then I will hope that Axl might be open to releasing live shows from the UYI tour.  Especially Inglewood '91, the longest show ever with the best setlist ever!!  I'll probably buy CD but come on, I want to hear more live material from the original band damnit!!

Will buy the album the first thing the store opens.  Take it home, chill out and just listen to the masterpiece that has been in production for all these years.  no parties, no drink, no rocking out.  just gonna chill and listen.  then again, i say this now.  when the album is released it will probably all change.
