I think snakepit two is just really an aquired taste, rod jackson definetly is not for everyone..  if anything the album is more musically sound for everyone ,well most..

Both albums really rocked, my two favourites is Take it away from Snakepit 1 and Serial Killer from Snakepit 2..  The solo on the latter is awsome !! And the riff on the first is incredible !!!  I love the songs because Slash does some great guitar work, and he really shines! If you dont like the lyrics, fine, but seriously, fuck the lyrics when you have all that great and amazing guitar work, that make up for any weak lyrics if you ask me !!

I have just a couple of his albums and I put them one just a few times and never thought they were much good...

Yeah man, the first album really did kick ass.. Most of those songs were so fucking rockin..  Eric Dover wasn't anything great but he didnt ruin the album for me like Rod Jackson..

Was one of those days where I wanted to listen to something I haven't in a while so I played the entire album.. All I can say is that fucking album rocks, the guitar work in there is awesome, tons of solos... Each song is just loaded with riffs n solos... Such a shame most people don't know about it.. Rod jackson was killer too, plus the band dabbled in everything.. Long songs, bunch of 5 minute plus, one 6 plus, many different instruments like sax... Just a damn kick ass album with lots of hard rock and bluesy sounds

I agree 10,000%. I love this album, it fucking rocks. And to anyone who has  bashed it, they simply don't know what they are talking about, or have not listened to it. It  is impossible not to like.

Slash also said in an interview leading up to the release of ALG that some songs were written when he was still in GN'R, Speed Parade in particular. Now could you imagine Axl singing over the music in that song!
