I agree with you Dark... the over seas audience is more infatuated with Gnr than the U.S, what a better way to build back up credibility with promoters than making sure to show up on time at all these festivals over seas.

Dark is absolutely right.
No U.S. promoter in his/her right mind would book GnR again, until they prove themselves all over again.

I sure as hell wouldn't invest in them without a huge contract.

Anyhow what I reckon is strange is that US radio stations are playing the songs but the tour seems to be kicking off in ?Europe. I'm still mixed in my thoughts on the 'on purpose leaking thing'

Give it time. ?Europe first (successfully) which will help the US promoters feel a bit more comfortable with a US solo tour.

Exactly. GnR are legacy in England and I suspect the rest of Europe.

Rock is still very popular in Europe. . . it's nearly dead in America though through Rap/RnB/Pop

Notice, as well, they're only (at this point) booked for festivals. ?Again, promoters are "safer" because they have lots of other acts on the bill and don't have to solely depend on GnR.

Which is not to say they won't do some solo dates out there....they might.

I still haven't seen any evidence anywhere that GNR is confirmed for anything. ?the flyers are fan-made and the links require registration on some lame ass forum that i don't want to sign up for.

Could someone please paste in the confirmation, or else change the title of this thread because it is misleading.
