Guys I know the playing is distinctive, and it may sound like Bucket or Finck, but there is no proof whatsoever, that Buckethead or Robin for that case is playing on these demos. Robin could be playing all of those leads, noone really knows.

That's almost like saying we don't know for sure if Axl is singing ... if you have an ear for guitar, no offense or anything ... but that's Buckethead and Finck.

'Absolutely'

Buckethead is pretty much ruling these new leaked tunes. TWAT is a one-man show as far as I'm concerned, and that man is Buckethead. He also owns IRS. I know it's a tiny clip, but it sounds like he could own CITR too...

My question is:

..."is Buckethead stealing Axl's thunder"...

How will Axl feel when "Chinese Democracy" is released and most people are talking about the guitar playing of someone who isn't even in the band anymore...?? confused

I disagree I think Fincks solos are better than BHs espcially on TWAT

I think buckethead's part ruin these demo's with the small exception of the cool lick before the second verse in 'better'

other than that I find his parts out of place in the last decade and a half.

Fink on the other hand has really impressed me

My opinion is that Buckethead owns these demos, hard.

what a talent, and for me will be sorely missed.

Buckethead doesn't even play in the right key on these all the time. He just plays chromatics quickly. No soul at all.

Buckethead is definitely NOT taking Axl's thunder.

Look at all of the news in the press, they are all talking about Axl's return and not Buckethead.

I like all the songs, but I definitely think Better is the best of the leaks, and Buckethead's guitar playing is essential to that song.

Robin's solo at the end of Better is the (guitar) highlight of the song. I think TWAT works equally for both Bucket and Robin. The song wouldn't be as good without Robin's early solo, and it def wouldn't be as good without Buckets solo at the end...

Buckets solo on IRS is amazing, but its Robin's and Richards Sabbath chords that make the song.

To be honest, I'd rather hear Robin on CITR, more than Bucket or May. I want to hear the song before May was brought in. From what May said, Axl had an emotional attachment to Robin's playing.

The best solo and most guns-style playing for me is Robin's solo in Better. It feels like he's singing through his guitar, which Slash used to do (Don't Cry) while Bucket just plays. Plus, those arpeggios get really annoying.
