I dont know if its been released yet. They played a new song "I'm American" when they opened for Judas Priest. It was pretty good live. Would have easily fit into the original Operation Mindcrime. There is an audio of it and "Hostage" on their web site:
http://www.queensryche.com/releases/operation-mindcrime-2/

I was hoping the CD cover would be the image on my t-shirt but its not.

Edit: It is being released April 4th. I listened to the two songs on their website. They are both bootlegs from the past tour. I already heard I'm American, sounded good hearing it again. Hostage is very heavy. Anyone who was a fan of Operation Mindcrime should take to these new songs immediately.

Normally I would run in fear when a band tacks on "II" to an album title. Queensryche however has proven the exception to this rule of mine. Operation Mindcrime II is definitely the heaviest thing Queensryche has done since the original, but it also features songs that showcase the best of what they have done over the last 17 years.

Stand-out tracks so far are:
-I'm American: I have a feeling this song will be as bacly mis-interpreted as Bruce Springsteens' "Born in the USA" and will pop up in political rallies of some sort.
-Hostage
-The Hands
-A Junkies' Blues
-All The Promises

I was really impressed with the guitar solos on here, its almost like a time warp back to 1988. The only negative, and its a minor one, is having Ronnie Dio as the guest vocals playing Dr. X on the song :The Chase". Having seen Queensryche with Judas Priest last year, I would have loved to hear Rob Halford sing this song with Geoff Tate. Taking nothing away from what Dio has done in the past but his voice just cant compare to Tate on this song.

Overall a great CD. 18 years in the making and worth the wait.

I'm catching this group on October 20th. Should be good, they're going to play both the OMC's in their entirety.
