first of all I don't know how people got most of these lyrics cause its hard as hell to hear most of it cause it's such brutal quality, but it seem like a decent song, it would be nice to hear a real version.

Anyway here are my thoughts on the first bit of the song lyrics from Don't Try Me

The private Eye is to look to see what they have on him
The IRS part is to track his income on the old material
The FBI is to see if he has a case I don't know I'm just pulling this out of my ass really

Yeah I've been monitoring' this topic. 

I get frustrated in the 0:37 verse it's to distorted and I can't make anything out really then I don't want to go farther. I've been trying though. What do you think the song is about?

As a demo its cool...but the musicianship is somewhat bland....and if the lyrics were better (say as good as locomotive/sympathy for the devil)...then the song would be an all time classic......as is its just a good rock song that would have been just below civil war status on the Illusions

hmmm....you do realize that sympathy for the devil was a cover right? and you said something about wishing the music was more like live and let die, you know that is a cover as well right? by "cover" i mean a song someone else wrote and performed and made famous.

As cool as he sounds on IRS I simply do not buy that saving his voice stuff....he was trying his best, and he surely was not 'saving his voice' during the VMA's....he simply couldnt sing well live....pretty simple.

Well guess what? we're in 2005 not 1987 and the most current thing we've heard from the gnr camp is IRS. Soooooooooooo, I guess it sounds like GnR, cause the most current incarnation GnR (that we've seen) wrote and performed it.

very cool lyrics. The safest bet is it's about the whole proces of beginning something new. Getting away from the old. Not specificly the old band, could be about everything.

I agree 100% D! That's why I ask what everyone thinks the song is about, then with that in mind we can sorta, maybe, kinda have an easier time figuring out what he says, "WHen you plead the 5th it be The end of time + 2 or its true" doesn't make sense either

I think it sounds more like "when you see my pictures and the advertisements too" or "will you be the victims and the agonizers too" or something. Like I said its hard to make out anything.

I think the vocal melody is a major grower. Once it's stuck in your head, there's no way you can get rid of it. Unfortunately, the quality is shit and the instrumentation sounds like complete sludge, so I prefer not to pass judgment on that.
