5th isn't a two syllable word, its actually two separate words.?
'So when you plead the fifth AND in the end the charge is (or charges) true'
?
It wouldn't be the first time I've been wrong (as in, I believed you, I'm an idiot)
But it'll be the last I'm sure I'm gone
And all the movers I can tell, some things didn't go so well.
That kind of makes sense.. come to think of it.
-darknemus
I know fifth isn't 2 syllables whatever... i really don't want to argue about it any more it's pointless. Fifth has been there so long i think people just want to believe that's what Axl says
As for the next part, I'd bet money on these lyrics
"It wouldn't be the first time I've been wrong"
"It wouldn't be the last, I'm sure, I've found"
"With all the rumors, I can tell, some things didn't work so well"

Here's to hoping a cleaner version shows up somewhere soon so that we can find other things to debate about
And by soon, I mean the real meaning of the word

he is clearly saying 5th.

On a better quality version of the song showing up somewhere? Not at the moment.. but the situation is.. fluid. If it does somehow show up, don't worry, it will show up for everyone. No hoarding will take place - at least, not by me.

When you plead the fifth, in the end you?ll find it?s true
That makes the most sense and fits.

that's it Dave!!!
, i really think you found the last part of that line,
How 'bout this?
There's not anymore that i can do
all the legions, they tell me, "I'll Follow You"
Then you'll be the victim,
in the end, you'll find it's true
Wouldn't be the first time I've been wrong
it wouldn't be the last, I'm sure, I've found
With all the rumors i can tell
somethings didn't work so well
to me that sounds like it's getting closer. I can't be sure i don't have the song on this computer

its .."when you plead the 5th"

Gonna call the President
Gonna call in the Private Eye
Gonna get the IRS
Gonna need the F.B.I
There's not anymore that i can do...
All belligerence at the gate, i'll follow you
But when you plead the fifth it'll be the end, the charge is true
Wouldn't be the first time i've been down
Wouldn't be the last, i'm sure im gone
All the rumours!
i can tell some things didn't work so well

so i think we have that first part nailed down...
Gonna call the President
Gonna call? the Private Eye
Gonna get the IRS
Gonna need the F.B.I
There's not anymore that i can do...
All the legions/religions, I'll follow you
But when you plead the fifth it'll be the end, the charge is true
Wouldn't be the first time i've been wrong
Wouldn't be the last, I should have known
All the rumours, I can tell
Some things didn't work so well or So I did it myself
And you wonder why I feel you can take me
---cant really make out what he says before "you can take me"

Well anyway, it feels the same

Could be Dave's is the closest.
We don't necessarily need to settle on one version for the ultimate yet, do we?
Till we hear cleaner one or better yet, from the author himself,
Everyone is free to show their own comprehension.
I can't say what but I still hear little differently here and there.?.
the last line of the part doesn't sound to me exactly like either
"Well anyway, it feels the same"
or
"And you wonder why I feel you can take me"
But somewhere in between.

It wont matter when CD drops because he may have changed the lyrics.

Just to add I found an IRS clean version on free download on the internet. I won't give the website, but it exists. This is not a GN'R website. This is the version we all have, but with a cleaner sound. 256 kbps. It fucking rocks?
EDIT: I start to receive PM's. Guys, there's nothing revolutionary, it's just a cleaner version, but i repeat it it's the same exact version, 3.41 mn. So Stop PM me.

First you brag about how much it rocks, and then it's suddenly "nothing revolutionary".. gimme a break. That's not the point whether it's something new, of course people want the best possible version. Get it?
