Last Fall I posted a topic about a rep. from Sanctuary's music division making a weekly appearance on a local radio station. The post was titled:
Remarks from a Sanctuary rep on radio (nothing new)

Anyway, Back in November I had emailed him a question about GnR which he answered on the air. On today's show, he spoke about GnR without being asked.
Now he's not directly involved with Guns, and it appears he knows even less than we do, but he made it a point to bring up the new tour.
He said a European Tour has been booked for this summer, and he mentioned the IRS leak and cease and desist orders, but he hadn't even heard the song personally.?

The hosts of the show asked if Slash and Duff were back, and he basically said "I highly doubt it", and mentioned that Dizzy Reed and Tommy Stinson were both still in from what he heard, and that Buckethead was gone. He may have specifically mentioned Tommy because the station is in Minneapolis, where Tommy is from.
He also said there was no news on whether a new CD or greatest hits would be released, but was excted about the aspect of a tour.

Obviously, this doesn't shed any new light on anything, just thought it was interesting to hear something from an actualy employee of Sanctuary. I'm sure the plans for CD (if there are some) are being kept extremely quiet.

Yes, that was interesting. Thank you Lesty. This rep doesn't seem to know much more than we do though, too bad. But with all the news coming in about festivals I am a very satisfied little girl today. European tour sounds very good!  beer

It sheds light on little bit of the mystery.  We now know for sure Buckethead is still out.  Thank you for posting the info!

Yes, he did mention buckethead was out, but...for the sake of arguement, I think if buckethead was negotiating to get back in the band, this guy probably wouldn't know about it.
But yes...he just seemed like the official tour announcement for Europe was a great sign that something should be happening on the CD front, but he didn't knowwhen.

Merck phoned into the radio station that is playing the demos to tell them to stop. The DJ told people what he said and that he said basically, "Stop playing them, they are demos, the album is not finished".
