So what is going to happen between now and RIR5?  Richard has 2 dates in March with Nena, Tommy has a March date with Soul Asylum, Dizzy has some dates in April.  So basically when are these guys goign to get a chance to rehearse the new music.  Its unrealistic to expect a band that only had a few shows in 01 and 02 to just get together again 4 years later and perform this new complex material. Also I hope theres an official announcement that says CD is going to be out before the concert.  Theres 3 months to RIR, and theres alot to do before then.

i don't think tommy richard or dizzy have to rehearse for any of those shows so there are plety of days to rehearse i guess!

but yes, there must be alot of work for them to put all this together!

They may cancel a few dates.  I think I remember one of the current gunners saying something like they're doing their own thing until they get the call from Axl to reform.  I'm thinking their phone may be ringing these days.

If they were gigging every night, then there would be something to worry about.
But any decent musician can handle a few side shows here and there.

Gnr Management: Hello Dizzy? Yes, it's Sanctuary. We're booking large european festivals starting in May.
Axl needs everyone back in L.A. the first week in April for rehearsals.

Dizzy: Oh, too bad. I've booked some bowling alleys and sports bars on the east coast with my great band "Hookers and Blow"

Obviously, if the GnR machine starts up again, the question is moot and everyone drops other commitments.
However, we haven't got confirmation WHO is in this incarnation of the band. ?But hopefully that will be cleared up within a week or two. I think everyone assumes the 2002 touring band will remain intact (minus buckethead) but there's nothing we've heard to confirm this.
