"Ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Dizzy Reed"

« on: February 19, 2006, 01:20:00 PM »

I read on songfacts.com that there was another verse to Sweet Child O' Mine, that was left out because it made the song too long. I know this kind of stuff is hard to find, but if anybody has that verse, or any other unused lyrics to Gn'R songs, post em here.

I dont remember that either. If there was some extra verse, it seems like it would have been used in at least one live performance. At Rio 91, there were those extra verses to Double Talkin Jive that wasn't on the album.

There is no extra verse, you probably mean the radio version which is cut.

Every other fact is true from what I can tell. Seems odd that a story like this wouldn't be more widely discussed though. I don't know what to think?

They should re-record it with the third verse and make it a bonus song on CD. That should be good for another million or two sales.

I heard it was because the song would have been too long. Doubt it will ever be found unless Axl wants it to be
