Hannahat, you make some good points, and I have always seen a lot of the similarities between BC's kick and GnR's.  Remember, I said I actually like Josh Todd in certain amounts...in fact I've been jamming Crazy Bitch an awful lot lately.  My point was that I have different moods, and more often Weiland's stuff fits those moods better than Josh Todd's.  Plus, I wouldn't want VR to be a second rate GNR, and I think that might be the case if JT was fronting them.  I'll also give you that Weiland's lyrics can be hit or miss, but I cut him some slack due to the fact I find him and his schtick quite entertaining.

Tallarico, on the other hand, I was simply stating my opinion...never said you had to agree.  I tend to enjoy the more androgenous frontmen (Bowie, Jagger, Weiland, Halford, fuck even Butch Walker who might have the best voice of anyone singing right now).  You know, different strokes for different folks.

I think you're right about if JT has been in the band it very well could have turned into a 2nd rate GNR....And I don't think Scott sucks....STP is in my top ten fave bands probably.  I think I was just hoping for a more BC type sound instead of an STP sound with VR.

And yes, Crazy Bitch is a fun song...i've been playing it a lot myself lately.  I hope "15" does well, but I have a feeling it won't -- unless they get to open for the CD tour?? hehe

Well, I heard the song Pleasin' recorded by the Project with Grayson Manor, and it rocked. Anyway they had a completely another kinda sound with him on vocals, which shows how important the lead vocalist is. Concerning Sebastian Bach, when he screams his throat out, he thinks he rocks, while I personally think he sucks. I heard You're Crazy and Paradise City with him on vocals and IMO he spoiled the f**kin' songs.

I love the two buckcherry albums and I think he would have been cool in VR but I am guessing his substance abuse is what kept that from happening. I know I know "what about scott!?" but he was supposedly in recovery when he jkoined I think. Judging by todd's lyrics I don't think he has plans to sober up (which is fine) and I doubt that mixed well with someone like Duff who has to stay clean. In response to the original post "dirty little thing" at least musically is from the time josh and keith nelson from BC were in the group cause if you look at the writing credits for contraband keith is on there.
