I think a few people here have read danceable as DANCE. Having a rock song with a good groove which can be danceable is competely different to a dance song, so please think over what your saying and read what Sorum has said before taking it and twisting it in your own way.

I'm open to a one song collaberation as long as the album isn't R&Bish... Every great artist seemed to get some disco sound back in the late 70's and some of those are good tunes... Today the rock n rap mix happens what can you do..

Please save this 'Axl had a vision' bullshit for fanboys who think it's OK that 10 years weren't enough for him to materialize the vision.

the fact is i prefer waiting 10 years for an amazing album than two weeks for a boring one.

even just two minutes of "Better" kills the whole VR album.

and i don't consider myself as a "fan(atic)", this word is for kids.

No, it doesn't. Maybe for you it does but don't present it as a fact. Slither rocks the fuck out of all the new songs GnR, there is no Rock in the new GnR songs, they are just pop songs. Especially Better sounds like that new Korn track...pop with guitars....but see, that's just my opinion, it's not reality or truth.....

i don't present it as a fact, but i find stupid to say at every sentence i express MY point of view.

OF COURSE i express MY point of view, i don't talk in the name of my neighbor  hihi

no rock in the new GNR ? did you heard IRS or Chinese Democracy ? thx for the laugh.

but you have a good argument : slither is the most listenable song of the whole thing.

anyway, i HOPE the next VR album will be just GREAT, but i'm afraid it'll be not.

Yeah, I heard IRS and Chinese Democracy so like I said, there is no rock in the New GnR songs.....there's guitars in them, but that don't make it rock, Ashlee Simpson has guitars in her music too.....which is not a bad thing, but just not  my cup of tea....

And I understand you hope the next VR record will be great since it is also Slash and Duff's music that made you come to this board.....just like me, I still hope Axl's record will blow me away, but I'm starting to doubt it....

Thats your opinion.. I heard Better and IRS and I think they are terrible.... Definately not worth a 10 year wait..  That is just my opinion... I am not saying VR put out the best CD of all time but I really love alot of teh song son the album..   couple are average and a couple I could do without.. I am happy with ther efforts..

Hey... Clowns.... Pharrell has a handful of rock bands signed to his Star Trak label and his side project N.E.R.D. is rock based.  Nice job jumping all over the idea because he's produced a few hits.

Also, as someone already pointed out, "danceable" rock songs include Rocket Queen and Mr. Brownstone.

So? Having a band signed to your label doesn't make you a good rock producer..... they should get Rick Rubin to do it....

Hmmm...

I seem to remember Pharell saying in an interview a few months back before all these rumours started that he did actually want to diversify into other music styles - and he specifically mentioned hard rock. Make of that what you will.

Yes. Rick Rubin is awsome, he did wonders with Johnny Cash's America series? ok

Actually, were in the same position with this new VR cd, which we were with Chinese Democracy few months back. half of the people are saying it can't be good, half are saying "just wait and they'll blow your minds", I wanna be part of the last. Just wait.

Sweet Chil' O' Mine is probably one of the most 'danced' to Rock records ever.  Go most pubs and clubs on a Weekend and you hear it.

This band needs to grow - they have so much potential. It doesn't matter if they make mistakes along the way.  The fact that they are looking at different ideas is good.  They are probably just playing around with ideas.  Look back to 'Always on  the Run' Slash thought it was too dancey/funky for GNR, but it was a fantastic record!

I don't think we're going to end up with a record full of songs like 'Fix' (slash and Blackstreet) although that was kind of cool in it's on way....But it WON'T  be like that.

I hope they play around with ideas. But then get someone experienced like Tony Visconti (Bowie,T-rex ect) to pull it together. That would be my suggestion.

I had a Boot of an early UYI tour show before they brought out the orchestra where they brought a stripper on stage for Rocket Queen peace and Axl encouraged her to "dance" Grin
