Wow.........? Shocked

I think this is the gayest thing I have heard in quite some time.? Why don't they just get Michael Jackson and Britney Spears too while they're at it.

I find it funny that people are bashing something they haven't heard.

The Pharrell Williams thing isn't even for sure, it was just a thought and I don't know what's wrong with that thought either, it might be really cool, if they will do it the right way, so I think people should stop complain.

And HannaHat, your gay post wasn't funny, it was just stupid.

on the topic of michael jackson, hes a fucking musical genious with more talent in his little finger than anyone now in GNR besides Axl. VR's album will be cool as fuck, im quite sure of that, just based on who's in the band, they may experiment a little, they mentioned making a concept album, but I dont believe for a second they're making some sort of limp bizkit rock/rap record or anything close to that. Im expecting 2 incredible records this year from GNR and VR, i must admit im way more excited for CD though

No question he is talented....but hes not the guy you want involved in a kick ass rock record.  Still, I'd take MJ working on VR over Phareal anyday.

Pharrell Williams? Are you kidding me?

Common band rule: never trust what the drummer says. This is probably a hypothetical that some of the other guys might not have any intentions of carrying out.

He is talented, but he doesn't have a nose...  hihi

Seriously, Jackson threw away his talent, by staying the same since 1991. Nothing new, his last record was "same ol, same ol"...

Besides, he has other things in his head now, he moved to another country, probably to be able to "talk" to children without the media trying to catch him...

because those songs are more groove oriented. The drums and bass stick out and shine. it'll sound a lot more modern though

I've gotta admit when I read the Pharell thing I had to look twice! I hope this isn't true. If they release a single with him on it you can bet all the little 10 year old MTV TRL kids will be all over VR, not good!

My guess is it's bullshit though, I seriously doubt he'll appear on the next VR record.

Sl-ashly Simpson-ize the next record? Muthafuckapleeeeeze!!!! Weiland tried  to make the last record go over, but I found it to be extra-hype and not extra-kickass and they should just scrap it if it has to come to this. I think they should have concentrated on the music more instead of Scott and his boo hoo my pussy hurts bullshit. I don't get people who feel sorry for people who have a problem partying too much. Doing drugs is fun, thats why people do them. Sorry if thats not as PC as you would like. People call addiction a disease? Cancer is a disease, you have no choice!!! There is very little dancing in rock where I come from. Get out Slash!!!!!!!! run like a fucking cheetah!!!!!!! IN MY OPINION!!!!

Well, if they're really gonna do that (work with Pharrel) then I don't see why they quit Guns in the first place....I mean, working with a "trendy" producer who can't do anything besides making the same song over and over again just is plain hypocrisy towards the ending of the old GnR.......S n D will lose big time credibility if they do that.....

What worries me the most...
They still souns pretty undecided about what they wanna do and where they wanna go,  that means that they haven't even started recording,  which mans that what ever they do - it will be a very long time before we see any result of it.
Saying that Camp Freddy hopes to have an album out by summer,   sounds like VR are not gonna start recording before that.
Meaning,  bye - bye to VR record in 2006!

VELVET REVOLVER Hope To Make New Album 'A Little More Danceable'

Does this mean Slash will leave VR? as isn't that the original reason he never stayed in Gn'R as Gn'R was to move in a direction other than what he was used to.

I don't want them to bother with pharell.. A song is cool to mix it up but not the whole thing....

I wish these guys would just work on VR shit since it's new instead of doing so many other side projects...

I just want solid rockers and a few good ballads other then that you can keep the change
