Is anyone else going to try to not listen to the leaked songs?

I think i'm going to try to not listen to them in hopes that the cd will be released "soon" and my first exposer to the songs will be in their final versions. I also think it will be awesome to hear the songs for the first time when listening to the cd from beginning to end. Is anyone else going to try to hold out?

No. For all u know, the leaked songs won't be on the released album. Now, wouldn't that be a loss...

That was my idea originally.  I didn't want to listen to the bootlegs that were circulating since the quality would be bad and I didn't feel it was a fair representation.


But - having listened to the new IRS leak - it ROCKS.   But it's still got a LONG way to go before being album worthy, and that's even more exciting.   As good as this version is, I can't wait to hear the real thing and there is plenty of room for tangible improvement.

I said that back in 1999.
Here we are in 2006,I don't think I can stop myself from not listening to it.
Now if the album were to leak shortly before it's release,that's different and I wouldn't listen to that.
But as for some demos,sure I'll listen to them..Fuck I've played IRS 6 times now.

but this is gnr! i've lost all hopes so i'm grabbing everything i can!

and to be honest, if they are stupid enough to not release it before they all leak, i might not even buy it! after all, it wouldn't even make sense to buy it if i'm already tired of half the songs.. i've listened maddy and the blues like 1000 times each. shit this is bad, but i will skip them when/if i buy CD!

You're not listening?? Wow, I'm speechless(almost). You've got to listen to it. I can see why you might not care about IRS as much since its kinda old news, but you've got to listen to Better. Fuck, its only a little over a minute. Just enjoy it and stop waiting. Or are you so used to the wait, you dont want it to end?

Man, you don't know what you're missing, these demos sound really great!
And if these demos are anything to go by, the finished versions will sound awesome!

I admire your decision to not listen to them, but hearing these clips has only heightened my anticipation for the album.

I would love to be able to wait, but the temptations are too strong. It will still be really great/different to hear them on the actual album, and as far as I'm concerned, these are very very close to studio versions...

My computer is still running on stones and a squirrel. Then we have that old (does anyone remember?) crap called dialup! You'd think I was Fred Flintstone if you saw the "technology" I have.
Downloading music is an impossible endeavor. As much as I LONG to do so. I'll just have to hope that the new CD does come out soon, but I already know that it rocks!?

I'm only on dial up and I downloaded the songs, together they took about 25 mins to download, but they're so worth it, I absolutely love Better!

I really really really wanted to try not to listen to any leaked songs up until about a year ago. But right now, my birthday is in a week, and this is the best goddamn birthday present I have EVER gotten. 

As a punishment for downloading the songs, I will buy at least 2 or 3 copies of CD

I could care less about waiting anything that leaks I will listen to... I can still enjoy an album (if it happens) even if Ihear some demos
