I have inside me blood of Kings

Ok I've notice something, In Europe the most important football teams have at least one latin player, lets say Chelsea, Juventus, Real Madrid,  Barcelona, Bayern, so when you look a game between any of these teams you can asure it would be entertainment.
Yesterday I was watching Copa Libertadores and it doesnt generate as most expectation as UEFA CL but i enjoy more watching this games than some average games on UEFA CL.
So what Im trying to say, or at least to comprehend is why si not that entertaining for world people to watch Copa Libertadores than watch a game from UEFA CL if both leagues are quite entertaining with great matches.
I remember when Robhino came to guayaquil to play against Barcelona (ecu) it was a great match even though we lost Sad
But there are great games that should notice by the world and I have the persective it hasnt been watch at all  Undecided
Any thoughts about this?

Copa Libertadores features all the latin-american players that aren't good enough or not yet good enough to play in Europe.

Personally, I can't watch a full Libertadores game, it's too damn chaotic...

How chaotic? i. e. yesterday I saw Liga de Quito Vs Velez and even though velez came here to defend, they won, the tactic they had was great and the game itsaelf entertaining I didnt see any chaos in the field.
there you get the games or just a few games?

I would watch a few games just because I love football, but they are not broadcasted over here. Maybe the final is, but is usually around 3 am and I don't feel like losing some sleep over it.

s american football is less rigid than european football, which is in many ways better however i'm used to watching european  style football. i've got a better appreciation of european football. The Champions League is also seen as a bigger tournament (don't want to get in to a debate over that. if you disagree i don't give a shit) therefore the atmosphere and emotion involved is hightened.

the UCL is always gonna be bigger, this is where the money is and its what all the top players want to play in

all the top south american players want to go to europe, both for money and a higher standard of football, in saying that ithink the top south american teams would easily hold theyr own against alot of the teams that compepte in the champions league

Then I have to ask why there is more teams from southamerica winning the intercontinental cup (UEFA CL WINNER VS COPA LIBERTADORES WINNER)?
Not that I think Europe is nothing compare to America, but that competion is harder than Europe, lets say a match between Madrid Vs Bruge is a madrid winable, but a Match between lets say Boca Juniors Vs El Nacional (which once happened) is very complicated.

the intercontinental cup is valued to highly to be honest, its doesnt mean anything to the european clubs that compete in it

Sorry to sound like an arrogant european but the reason that s american teams usually win it is because nobody whatsoever care in any way whatsoever about the intercontinental cup. If it wasn't mandatory then european teams wouldn't bother showing up.

Once again, sorry for being sounding arrogant but it really is the truth.

I think you?re right, the teams dont care about the Japan thing, mainly because it isnt profitable... On the other hand, the players DO care, off course, nobody wants to lose... So this argument you?re using isnt an excuse, because I?m sure the european players do their best to win that game

No, the european players don't care in the slightest. It's not a money thing as the financial benefits of the game are very big (the asian market is huge). It is seen as a waste of time by fans, clubs, football associations and players. And they're all right.

The fact remains that the trophy has no prestige, no history, no glamour and no honour. It's simply a match for FIFA to show off and act big.

I think it will be better like they that last time a World Club Cup, matches between the best of America and the best of Europe, I think that will be cool but on the other hand that also means that the Europe league that tends to be way too long are gonna be more fatigue than in America  Undecided

Dude did you actually read my post???

-The Intercontinental cup is not taken 100% seriously by European clubs.

-The World Cup argument is completly irrelvant

-And the last two arguments actually prove my point, that the good South American players don't play on their home continent

UEFA Champions League...I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with it.

Sometimes it produces some absolutely fantastic games. However, there are way too many teams going out with defensive formations like Arsenal with a 4-5-1 and two of the mids sitting in front of the two. I understand why they would want to go out against Madrid to get a 0-0, but it makes terrible viewing for the neutral.

Off topic: I'm a Charlton fan and 4 out of 5 of our last games have been 0-0 so im not the biggest fan of football at the moment.
